Cheap publicity stunt by a fading ex superstar. Sad to resort to such tactics because of 9-10 flops..he should switch to small screen since he has lost his potential to score at the BO. They could turn his Balettan character into a Mega Serial or Something..

In 2007 he acted in only 6 movies, out of tht 4 wer flops, one ws chosen to indian international film festival. So 3 films wer flops and wnt unnoticed.
In 2008 so far two films releasd, only one of them is moderate hit.
So only 3-5 movies wer flops over past 3 years. How did u arrive at 9-10 flops atlest during a span of 3 years. Since during span of 3 years recently, 14 movies of his released. So out of 14 movies,3-5 movies flopped.
I am no mohanlal fan, or any actor across india fan or anything like tht. I just watch movies from all languages, but just do a check up b.f saying things like lal needing publicity.
Do you know,lal nevr used publicity and this goes for all actors in malayalam and tamil film industry. The publicity is done in old fashioned way: previews in t.v, radio, internet, posters outiside theatres etc...
Lal has alrdy switched to theatre, b.c he has experience ther rathr in small screen cinema. Do you know his theatre works?
Balettan? Its Lalettan. Mega Serial or something? Son,wht something?

It ws not a publicity stunt, he started training for this act for 2 years and he cud have just gone on a tour w/ muthukad his trainer and assisted him on his magic acts. So tht'll get muthukad and lal publicity.
Mohanlal only decided to do this now, and finally did he do it. NO, if it ws publicity he could have cried over the roof top all these years, why just a few days b.f the magic act.
Did mohanlal show media how he ws preparing all these 2 years, NO.
So its def. not publicity stunt.
His movies to be clicked to not be clicked and his flops, it doesn't matter to mohanlal. He has already won laurels for his performances.
If he is doing this magic act as publicity so tht his new movies will click, it wud not work if you're smart(really) who is coming HINDUStan. You shud have some sense, tht wht his movies have in relation to this magic act.
I don't see any movies of him in relating to this publicity. Why can't he do publicity stunt in each and evry one of his movies whn it didn't do tht good past year?
Why can't he extensively promote an excellent film i.e paradesi or thanmatra? He could have done some pretty diplomatic promotion for both subjects, tht the movie deals with.
Its sad for people like you to resort to stupid reasons for seein cinema, like clicking at BO. Man, don't u have better things to do thn to count an actor's flop movies.

And with Nylon wig and black shoe polish on his mush it would have been very dangerous, also since he is 99% fat it would have caused spontaneous combustion. Very wise decision by Superstar (Last hit was in Jan 2007), we know that he is brave only in movies, in real life he is super pedhi thondan.. Jai Laletta! Jai uski Amma! Jai Innocent!

Ur right, why just focus on mohanlal. Why don't all indians focus on all the actors across the country.
Wht will happen if rajnikanth, mammootty, kamal hassan,chiranjeevi amitabh bachan, the khans die simultanously, nasser shah, om puri, aishwarya rai, vijay, vikram from all cinema etc... dies. Will india destroy itself? Oh No!!

it shows clearly that u r not a keralite and u dont have any knowledge about malayalam or tamil film industry.. becoz ppl in malayalam knows about rajni and kamal and ppl in tamilnadu knows about mohanlal and mammoty ..mohanlal and mamooty gave superhits in tamil and kamal and rajni movies become hit in malayalam.. it shows ur a northie and ur intention is to start a fight between kerala and tamil.. shut ur mouth and ass and leave the place.. go watch ur bhoot's amitabh movies
mohanlal cannot take risks and that is the reason he backed out. see our king of kings ,ilayathalapathy vijay who takes risks in every phase of his life and movies and that is the reason that he has become the biggest hero not only in TN but also kerala replacing mammoty and mohanlal.

Dude Malayalam is the hub for porn movies . 70-80s .All u mallu jerks come to Tamil cinema clean our tamil actors shoes. Its a well know fact . mohanlal and mamooty ur two big stars even in their wildest dreams cannot act like our universal hero kamalahasan and the great Sivaji ganeshan .I am sure you mallu jerks would have heard about Marlon Brando .Marlon Brando once said " Sivaji you act like me but I cant act like you " that in itself is a great compliment for Tamil cinema.You guys should tell ur malayalam industry actors to stop coming into Kollywood

Man, mohanlal cannot take risks in real life and this act is dangerous, and evn the magician who trained lal also got injured during this burning illusion trick. Getting injured is as serious as getting killed in the trick, it takes time to recover from this injury.
Wht risks ar you talking abt in regards to vijay, thts only been done in films and evry1 is careful if ther ar risks involvd in doing a scene, and rarely anybody gets "seriously" hurt rather it cud be an accident. For instance, vivek oberoi shooting during mani's yuva, he recovrd from it all right.
Mohanlal has been in movies i.e keerthichakra in kashmir whn ther wer still some violence goin on in the region, thy still shot the film w/o getting into trouble. Evn the hindi movie kabul express, these actors hav to go to afghanistan whn its's still dangerous ther.
Now these ar risks in movies and it's real. Wht vijay and his action stunts ar nothing compard to the risks mentiond above. What vijay has done to take risks in real life anyways? I am a vijay fan, but find nothing in him in real life since he is just a normal down to earth guy.

It wud be smart and honest to rephrase, "Who is this mohanlal? Can anybody tell? I don't much about malayalam films and since the article mentioned mohanlal is from this cinema, and thts all i know abt it? Would you please me give me info abt this actor, i have never heard of?
See how simple tht is, i mean who really cares wher u ar from, its the who your talking abt matters not wher ur from.
In this way we can avoid the usual north-south kiddy bashing party.
If samrat organised this show nobody will not be in mobile mortuary.Samrat did a trick in this show also.He is clever.Who has supported him?Innocent,Antony etc., all are in same community including Smarat.All did in the name of Amma and Fans assn.
