Irrespctive of that "gem" Dylan's songs and the imagery that he evoked in his songs has been amazing- from Tambourine Man("take me on a trip upon your magic wooden ship, my senses have been stripped) to Times-they-are-a-chagin, to Idiot Wind, Simple Twist of Fate(The Open E chord progressions is lovely). His songs were particular relevenat in the 60's and 70's in a country and a generation that saw the civil rights movement, the sexual revolution, the Vietnam war, the hyprocrisy of the middle class existence and the American dream. I don't know about the Pulitzer but he is an time great as far as song-writing and folk rock go!
