These typical barbaric people...they can get 10-11 yrs old girls gettign married to 50-60 odd old aged male...that is islamic....well I guess I am very happy with indian television... atleast they are not barbaric in nature....everyone ahs the right to express..let them express what they can..we will express the way we can..But interestingly.. we never interfere in what they do...why do they haev problems with us...Mental block...what they do is much more henious and unathentic in nature....then what we have on indian television..although our indian television too is usless, but not barbaric in nature...

Indian serials are crap.Not because they show Hindu culture but because they promote adultery,extra marital relationships for almost all the characters and very cunning plots.Almost very heroine is supposed to have 4-5 lovers. Afghan media is right in banning these serials and we should follow suit.I repeat,not because they shoiw Hindu culture but because they show lack of any culture.

Most sensible people don;t watch Hindi soaps that have multiple love affairs going on week after week. They would rather watch regional Tv - etv, alpha Tv.

Indian television serials because they feel it wrongly influences their culture and traditions does not mean 'Indian Serials are un-Islamic or tend to promote Hinduism. Dude, just watch the serials, it promotes non-India culture. Man, I was forced to watch few episodes of so called soaps and surprised to see every show is about extra marital affairs or child out of wedlock. It is sickening. Why no pro-hindu or some so called conservative crack head not suing these TV prducers? You recall some crack head sued Ricard Gere for kissing on the cheek. Wierd world.

Well, Indian television showing indian festival is the normal thing to do because its Indian TV. If Afghans think it's un-islamic, it's their interpretation and it's right also, anything which is not inslamic is un-islamic (non-indian view of Islam). An in India, both Hindus and Muslims know how to celebrate Diwali and Eid both, but for Afghan or for that matter any muslim country anything other than islamic things, is un-islamic. It's their way of managing their country's affairs. I dont we think should be bothered about this at all.
That's the way live in India and it's not afghanistan. It would be really foolish and unthoughtful if anything changes because of Afghanistan's comments.
It is true that major popular Indian soaps do project Hindu family values more often then other faith. Please note that it is not by design, but a business. A producer will create and sell what a customer demands or wants. The real question of this topic should be %u2013 Why aren%u2019t there enough producers pushing for other faiths in their soaps? There could be many reasons. It could be due to business reasons as well.
A producer would like to make sure his first run makes him enough dough before he rolls out his or her second project. Should they not do it? Well this is not a charity. It%u2019s pure business. There are no real social obligations a producer needs to adhere to.
So now that we know what it really is all about, who cares what Afghanistan government does with their own broadcasts rules? People will follow a well done production. Be it films or soap. Be it India or Hollywood. I have Afghan neighbours and they simply love Hindi soaps. Unless Afghanistan gets in producing quality soaps, the market demand will always bring the material to its audience by other means. In fact, banning it will make it only more popular. Look at Pakistan for example. It has yet to find a space in movie business.
The serials should be banned in India and not afganistan becuase only then we will get respite from the daily rona dhona, depressing story lines, manipulative vamps, dozen husbands per female character plots. At least the moral fiber in india will get a lil better!
