bihar needs inspiration
by on Oct 02, 2007 06:51 AM

Bihar of today is a cultural wasteland. it was so good to read that Manish's parents are practising physicians in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. And that he has been in touch with another Bihari film-maker, Prakash Jha.
Hope, and pray, that Manish will do something creative for his motherland. I am getting sso tired and sick of self-aggrandizing "rescuers" of Bihar. We need some genuine people.

It's amazing to see how aspirations of common citizen can be looked upon from a crative angle and made in to a film.Manish tiwari has directed what should be called movie of the year.

I bet you are a Bengali or what ever, but definitely not an Indian who will admire and encourage a common Indian who irrespective of his state, background, has the guts and talent to showcase his creativity through the most expensive medium of film. You can over look every fact about this guy just because your impotent mind doesn't allows you to read anything good about a Bihari and this is the curse of this country where people like you are called educated.

on our postmodern condition .a perfect anticlimax to rang de basanti.
by on Sep 28, 2007 07:49 PM

liked the movie 'dil dosti etc'.was a 'perfect'anticlimax to 'rang de basanti'and its paraphernalia of sloppy sentimentalism.this movie takes a deeper and more realistic look at our existence.where all metanarratives have collapsed.adarsh/principles,emotions, revolutions are all chained together and shot at point bnlank.we are all pastiches with desires pulling in different directions.....
