I dint quite understand "Johnny Gaddaar is a cleverly inspired version of the 1970 Dev Anand , Johny Mera Naam" Simply because it is no way related to the 1970 flick..... Why the hell did the reviewer do this comparision I still am not getting to it....!!!!
yet it can be compared to a Vinod Khanna starrer ,I dont remember the Name, which had a similar plot, with 7 theives and a gaddar....

I loved the movie. It was very clever (don't think the so-called masses are dumb), has an excellent screenplay (the director keeps you hooked to the screen), fairly good performances from the castm (Neil Mukesh is a great talent to watch out for), racy and appropriate background score Paisa Vasool!
Now let me come to the Rediff Review: Your review title (as usual) is so misleading and the reviewer D Morgan seems to be a jerk, always giving backhanded compliments. I am sure it would have been a different take, had it been a Chopra/ Johar/ Ghai kind of cinema. And BTW, what is your criteria for 2 reviews? I guess you normally reserve these for your favorite production houses (read, 'those who pay your journos), just in case one reviewer decides to write a bad review.
