I loved the music. I bought a CD a while ago from Carnatica.com. What struck me too was the simplicity of the lyrics and how musical the lyrics are. I am so tired of words that have no meaning and don%u2019t build up a mood. The nattupura padal is evocative of the freshness I associate with the countryside of the time. And the images are lovely. I also think Sowmya%u2019s rendition is not as seductive as Jayshree%u2019s but I am not sure it was meant to be. As I heard it from friends who saw the movie, the same song in two different sequences has two very different moods. That is the genius of Lalgudi! And the director Sharada Ramanathan.
