I see this film as a an example of bafoonry of the lowest level. More dissappointing is the reaction of the rest of India who finds it amusing at the expense of all Punjabis. These people forget that if our forefathers from Punjab did not intervene, India would have been an Islamic state like Iran. They forget how their grandmothers were saved from the clutches of the marauding invaders from west. I give an historical example of Sikhs rescuing 20,000 Indian women, mostly belonging to Maratha families, from the clutches of Ahmad Shah Abdali in the 18th century. And by the way, it was 12 O' Clock when these poor women were rescued from a slavery of lifetime.

Hi Friend this is just to let you know that we all hold punjabis on high respect specially sikhs for their bravery and intelligence. Being a south indian i am against the jokes or films which could the feelings of sikh community.

Thanks to the treacherous Sikhs, the Marathas lost to Abdali in Panipat in first place. The Sikhs didnt help them when they needed them the most. And Marathas didnt ask for military help, they just wanted supplies. So Dont over glorify your history. Everybody had their moments so did Sikhs. Nothing special about it.

I agree as well. Sikhs of Punjab and in more general terms...people of Gujarat, Kashmir and many other states near that have all suffered from the brunt of Muslim invasions century after century...see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim_conquest_in_the_Indian_subcontinent
Its a pity that we Indians mock our own...in contrast to how people of other communities in general, react to blasphemous cartoons, books, films and stuff.

I too agree with santhosh and on that Sikhs are Brave and born soldiers, and 1 khalsa is equilalent to 100 people, Jai bolo so nihal!! by the way Im south Indian and I admire all sikh gurus and Maharaja Ranjith Singh.

you are a bloody joke on earth by saying that sikhs can not defend punjab. Sikhs were under the leadership of Gandhi and Nehru who agreed to partisan of punjab. But when Sikhs intervene after bloody massacre by Jinah's muslims, Jinah himself apealed for peace. So treat ourself in some mental hospital

Thanks so much for these words. I left India after the 84 massacare of Sikhs. It's good to hear that decency still exists in India. This film is a parody on Punjabis and denegrades them in a mocking way. I never understood why some Indians indulge in this kind of mockery of their own people.

Dear Arv its simple sense of humour let me tell you the jokes on sikhs were started by someone from the sikh community itself, his name is Mr. Khushwant singh the famous writer in his books. So need not blame others for this and mockery or jokes doesnt effect the respect for sikhs or any other community. There are thousands of jokes on other communities too. So friends stop blaming each others and be united We are INDIANS first everything else is next to it. JAI HIND
