First of all we all from the same stinky shit and fight each other saying mine is better than your ass. Give it up.. Its not only in Tamilnadu or its not only Tamilian. Why telugu guys voted for N.T.R, Why does Kannada People die for Raj Kumar, Why Bihari ass's never changed, Why Kolkata doesnt like anyother color than red, Atlast why the hell other half of North Indian's has choosen Sonia as Leader .. You guys are out of brain..and hypocrites..why the north part want to force hindi as a national language when so many other languages are older , is it becoz Gandhi, Nehru etc etc all are from North and played dirty politics in dividing the country.. South has a rich culture and want to save it .. Tamilians will save it and are proud for what they are.. FYI Rajni is a marathi but if the same Tamilnadu didnt give that oppurtunity he would never been so popular that we are fighting on this..

This 'on' fellow posts all kind of spam on message boards and in between he will add some more crap to it with his comments.
Every state and culture has its faults but Tamilian (not all just a crazy few) are a step ahead in Rajni worship (in the real sense) and also behaving as if Tamil Nadu is a seperate country. Ask anyone outside TN who has visited the state and felt like an alien. In no other state would you feel the same.

Blue Wrox and S Gupta, There is no evidence to prove that Sanskrit is older than Tamil. What experts know so far- Both are ancient and are sister languages of the same central asian family- so have phonetic and even strong affinities in vocabulary. There is enough evidence that Tamil borrowed from Sanskrit words like e.g. Sri and in turn Sanskrit has used Tamil words like Pazham/ Palam. I don't care if you start verbally abusing me- these are evidences put forth by experts. Shekhar- Tamils are also a favourite whipping boy of some fanatics who think that nationalism can come only by speaking in hindi. Such narrow-minded definition of patriotism will obviously create bad blood and retort. So if one puts down the Tamil choice of music, art, language, culture and politicians, then please be prepared to accept medicine in the same form. There is no evidence of linguistic or chauvinistic violence against any race or community quite unlike other cities like Bombay or Delhi or even new metros like Hyd or Blore, so your accusations against Tamilians is baseless. Why Rajni, even Amitabh has the same fan following in the north- even criminals like Sanjay Dutt or Salman have more crazy followers. I think as far film craziness goes, atleast there Tamilians have some stupid habbit they can share with the rest of us. (Continued) Even the few south Indians (who never lived in north) who do manage to learn hindi are made fun of at every turn. It is made amply clear that you either speak hindi or else you are not one among us. This is demeaning and obviously is not healthy for India. Instead of accusing only the Tamilians, all of us have to redefine what is Indian/ patriotism. Otherwise you can quench your ego and frustration by venting anger at the tamilians, but will serve no purpose except widening the rift-that's all.

krish... as for i know all south Indian languages has Sanskrit flavour. I studied sanskrit for 13 years and i have seen Sanskrit influence in all 4 south indian language - kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu...Also it is fact that pure hindi is only spoken in some parts of MP and UP. Rest it is all mix.
That holds good for other languages as well. I have heard around 4 different types of kannada in karnataka...same holds good for tamil and marathi.
i think it is foolish to debate over superiority of language instead, if possible try to learn them. every language has its own beauty.
If you ask me, i would say Sanskrit is the most beautiful language but extremely hard to learn. I am also very fluent in Hindi and Kannada. Understand bit of Malayalam and Tamil [thanks for movies]. telugu and kannada are quite similar in scripts and quite easy to understand... guys...in india we have lots if opportunities to learn...enjoy:)

I lived in Delhi, kerala, Andhra and I speak Sanskrit, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu... I have to defend my statements because if Rajini has been issued a court summons or case why would some unpad's comment bull about all Tamilian's in common. What about Shiv Sena Leader, BJP..people follow these stupid parties and die for them ..if a state is crazy about an actor that doesnt mean the whole state, its language, its culture is brought up here. Ofcourse Sanskrit be a oldest language why didnt Indian government made it as a national language instead why Hindi?

Sanskrit - Indo European family Tamil - Dravidian family
And we all know which is the oldest civilization. We know how old the city of Rome is. And they didnot speak sanskrit.
Dravidian civilization existed even before all those greek, roman and other european empires. And none of those speak sanskrit. There are proofs of tamil even before and during those empires.

Frustration...this is called Pure frustration....Southern states are the revenue generators for fueling indian Economy...And Tamil Nadu is one of the leading state in terms of revenue generation...DOnt think like a cat...When cat closes its eye it thinks that the world has gone dark....If you speak in hindi I can understand that but if I speak in Tamil you cannot even understand a single word...I am on advantage..:-)
