All the best, Sekhar Kammula

Hi Sekhar

I wish you the very best for HAPPY DAYS. Music by Mickey is fantastic. I always feel some good entertainers are missing these days. We had Gulabi, Prema Desam (every farewell function used to be lightened up by candles those days, its great..), Anaganaga Oka Roju in our college days. But now-a-days a college film means cheap music, cheap dialogues, cheap jokes on lecturers. May be internet is more spoiling this days than any other. humm..!
There is a tamil film 'FIVE STAR' which is a college time film but not even a single shot is taken place in a classroom (though I dont understand much of tamil, I've seen it 6 years back). I really liked it and felt why its not dubbed into telugu so that filmmakers know the standard of college atmosphere.
Good interview rediff, after long time :-)
Sekhar ji, we are really looking for more sensible movies from you.
I really hope this movie would change the attitude of filmmakers towards lecturers, students and college atmosphere. (Like what Gharshana did for police system).

All the best

Mohan.

well said Mohan...
I am fedup of seeing college movies with dialogues like .. "amma thodu addanga narikesta"...
cannt believe how they make movies like that and even win the people. People has to change instead of blaming filmakers... those are the film makers who will utilize the opportunity of the people ignorance...
Shekar is the film maker who try to change the people thiking itself... that is awesome.
Keep going sir.
- Kiran

Shekhar Kammula Stands alone and high
by vijayasarathi on Sep 11, 2007 10:51 AM

We have very high expectations of Shekhar Kammula. He is a versatile film maker.Every film of his make is a superb portrait of the present trends. He is a natural realistic person.
His concern about his parents and staying together with them has brought him and his eleder brother all the way from US to India, way back some 8yrs ago.
God is always considerate towards him to give very good thoughts and live a natural life.
He is going to be successful in all his films.
Through this media he wants to give good message to the youth of this great country.
Best of luck Shekhar.

Sekhar is the best !!

Sekhar Kammula is really a breath of fresh air for the telugu cinema where the standard 4 or 5 heroes who are nearly grand-fathers' age still want to act in every film. The story for these dominating heroes is nothing but self-portrayal of their power/money.
What makes Sekhar great is he moves apart from this gang and re-juvenates the public with content cinemas where the entire family can enjoy. Great film-making.

Even Tamil industry is similar to Telugu.
4-5 heros trying to rule the whole set-up with their heorism and out-of-the world characters.

Shekar Kammula is to Telugu Industry , as what Cheran is to Tamil Industry.

Hats off to both of them.
