Easily worthy of best film album award for Pritam. The song 'Mere Dholna' will become a classic. It is awesome and the visual is spectacular. Suchsongs along with Rekha Bhardwaj's thumri in Laaga Chunari Mein Daag will hopefully make pure classical tunes popular and bring back into films again.
This film is orginally from malaylam film, but before chandramukhi it came in kannada. The Kannada film name is Apthamithra which was also a great hit. Vishnuvardhan and Soundharya have done a great job in that film.

Pritam has done a good job with this one.. i just bought this new pop album - Rang Rangeeli yeh Duniya - by an artist named Giju.. seems like this is his first album.. my cousin in india had recommended it.. got to say, i truly enjoyed each and every track of it.. and apparently this guy is also a world class salsa dancer and there is a music video to the title song.. i saw it on Zee music.. also found it on youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDMH0fhC3bM
he is really good at it.. but why he dosent pay for it... this time it seems ok... his next DHOL is also a copy of Malayalam Hit IN HARI HAR NAGAR directed by siddique lal(... it will also end up in legel trouble( rem BHAGAM BHAG)

Everyone still remembers national award winning performance of shobhana in the song.How effortlesly she danced to the difficult song.Shobhana's role is the most difficult and powerful role ever written for a female character in Indian cinema.I'm sure you will agree after watching vidya balan.
I heard that vidya balan had a tough time shooting this song, as she rehearsed one month stretch for this song.Let's hope that it's worth her hard work.
Anyway the beautiful melody sung by chithra in the original is not included it seems..that song was very much important to the plot and was a mirror to shobhana's character....
