"autism is a new world phenomenon" and could vaccines be the cause of this problem?
are we killing the bodies inate ability to fight infections and hence opening a pandoras box of new age problems? will some scientist
give an honest un-biased opinion?

I work in the field of autism. Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder that typically last throughout a person%u2019s lifetime. Today, one in 150 children are diagnosed with autism across the world, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes and AIDS combined. Interestingly, the ratio of male to female is 4:1, that is, more boys are affected than girls. Autism impairs a person%u2019s ability to communicate and interact with others, and is also associated with rigid routines and repetitive or self-injurious behaviours. Autism occurs in all racial, ethnic and social groups. Research has shown that it is not caused by vaccines. The reasons for autism is still unclear. Scientists are working hard to find the causes of autism. For now there is no known cure. But people with autism benefit immensely from behaviour therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, or Intensive Behaviour Analysis. One day we will know. I am optimistic.

If you want more information on autism contact the website of The National Alliance of Autism Research (NAAR). I can provide you of many more website for autism.

Tahnks for the info. Not giving vaccines could cause other problems. Can't be blaming modern medicine for all that we find is not going right in this world.

I have a child with Autism. FDA has agreed that they used Mercury in the Vaccinations previously until year 2001 which has had a catalytic affect on the children. Of course Doctors and Pedaitricians do not agree to this. Also the environment is a big cause too. I do Relationship Development Intervention which helps with Emotional and Social deficits of Autism in my child,. I have done 'n' # of therapies but nothing works like RDI for my child.

I hope people accept children like me in this society rather than teasing them and staring at them and looking at them as parasites. I have often faced many parents telling us that we are not good parents looking at the behavioural aspects of Autism in my child. Which is not true. We try our best for our child to 'behave' normally and not be aggressive in social situations but sometimes things do "BACKFIRE". Please learn to excuse these children. And Please do not overlook Autism. Teaching people about Autism is very important to help children who are "differently abled " to get diagnosis early.

Meaningful Parallel films are Heavy to Digest
by Bhola on Sep 03, 2007 02:30 PM

Although , menaingful parallel films are ture in their story and content, they show the darker side of life and portray human being as a vulnerable and weak object.
Such films can be seen by those who are very serious thinkers in their actual life !!!
I can watch such films but would rather prefer films like Heyy Babyy and Sivaji the Boss which are Masal Potboilers.
