I remember very vividly she was introduced as the 23 year old Aishwarya Rai during the miss india telecast in 1973, that would make her 37 years old right? And given the fact that contestands tend to hide a couple of years for such paegants, she coudl well be actually all of 39 YEARS OLD. 1993 it is, so its a typo. Theres nothing wrong with being 57 or any age for that matter. So why hide it? .. which is exactly my point.
