Amit I am great fan of ur voice and ur talent. I think you have it in you to be among the best if not the best. your voice I must say is jut awesome. For me the best voice in any reality show. vary natural, doesnt sound like any contemprory singers and pure gift. Suits almost all the songs. may be all. Keep it up. Wishing u success and great future. These reality shows are jokes. So dont care about who won and lost. I think u know it better urself so there is no point of us telling you what you know. Work hard with dedication. You have it in you. Dont get carried away by fame money or praises. Well dunno if you ll read this but in case you do best of luck. n ya dont forget coz of these shows you got a platform to have fans like us:). So in a ay u r a winner.Tk care.
Does reality in this country mean mediocrity?? 'Reality' in no way means we should depend so much on SMS that the best are left behind because our country is still ancient in mindset despite the fact that we shout on rooftops about being modern and secular. The truth is & it shows that we cannot rise above caste, state, religion & gender even today. Our voting pattern shows! We have latest mobiles to send SMS but century old attitudes! Hence, shows should be modeled (by channels & sponsors) in such a way that they do not appear to be farcical and foolish in the end. SMS voting should happen till the contestants reach top ten stage. Then the voting should be done by 3 regular show judges & 2 special judges (panelists) called for each of the final 9 competitions leading to a winner being declared either by eliminating 1 contestant each week OR better still, alternately by consolidating their scores & like (a Miss India finale) announcing the top 3 in the final show on TV. SMS should not be the medium of selecting national champions - the public is not mature & fair in our country as yet! Otherwise, Amit, Abhilasha, Ankita and the like will keep getting eliminated... and channels and sponsors will keep making money, headless teenagers will keep wasting money on SMS and Wonderful people like Javed Akhtar & Alka Yagnik will keep getting frustrated at public's decisions
Its nice to hear 4 the amit paul fans...iam also one of them "deewaney of amit paul"..... dont bother of getting indian idol... u r the real INDIAN IDOL. I was thought u'l get the indian idol title, not only me, the judges, the whole indian people{except darjeeling people} thought that ur the idol3..unfortunately Prashant got the title with the support of his own state people...whatever happened.....happened.. we bet U R D real Rockstar N Idol of india...finally i say AMIT PAUL will SHINE....GOOD LUCK AMIT...
Any corporate company can sale even garbage by good packing and with their USP skill.... but the actual retaintion is possible only if consumers accepts the product... once consumer identify garbage inside nice packing they will stop buying that product... this is applicable in this case as well...there is no point talking bad on the line of region/ caste/ language....bottom line as an Indian we know, we are not concerned about region / caste/ language of Mohd.Rafi / Kishore Kumar / Manna De / Asha Bhosle etc...we Indians know how to enjoy good music...
Both (amit and prashant) are good singers but Amit deserved to win! Prashant won because Darjeling goverment had free voting phone booths across the city and one person was voting 10 to 20 times without paying. This came in the news (before the final) and to my surprise it never became a controversy. Darjeling Goverment made this free calling arangement so that once prashant wins Darjeling would get the tourism boost by media (which is revenue for any state)

You are right. Amit Paul was true Indian idol. Prashant won by cheap Indian politics. Amit has all the qualities of a singer. Prashant cannot be compared with Amit. Wishing Amit all the luck for the future.

It is the same way our Indian democracy works- folks. Whoever gets the maxm vote, (think of majority people who vote for our leaders) become MPs, MLAs etc.

Voting in politics can be accepted but there should be fix criterias on which the politicians shouls be allowed to stand. 1) education 2) No criminal back ground 3) Apptitude tests 4) Intelectual level etc etc
Optio 2 can be that form a forum of 100,000 people with respectable background in various fields (business, education, corporate, etc). Let them vote and decide. I am not against the masses voting but the votes are bought and mostly our villagers vote out of emotional promises to them.
