Nayi padosan was more like spoof of Padosan. 3 guys and a girl in neighbourhood. One of them is dressed like Mehmood etc shows that it was inspired by Padosan. It was pathetic movie so I couldn't watch it fully.

You are right. Today we do not have actors like Kishoreda, Sunil Dutt Sab and the great comedian Mahmood. So it is simply a exercise in futility. do not waste time, but look for some original subjects.

"Pasher bari" is based on Arun Chowdhury's bengali story. And the film was made on 1952. So, I guess no lifting. Lot of successful movies are made from bengali stories. Once a guy told me "Devdas" is an original telegu movie. In case, you don't know it's Sarat Chandra Chattapadyay's classic.

kyu mare jaa rahe ho bhai logo...... movie dekho aur enjoy karo naa.........kissi ne bhi banai ho who cares man. kaiko yaha apna khoon jala rahe ho. Its better you ppl just go and work in office:)

I am not sure about bengali movie. There is a movie called "adhutha veettukkaari", a b&w tamil movie released in 50s. Same story and characters. Anyway, noboy knows who lifted from whom.
