Rightly said. Madhuri undoubtedly is a good dancer but nothing can beat Sridevi's dances. Her dances, alongwith movements were full of expressions which is uncomparable. Once Shekhar Kapoor himself said the he faces great confusion when he picturises a song with Sridevi. If he takes her close up, camera misses her superb movements and if he captures her from a distance, he misses her facial expressions which are a great asset in a complete dance form. So no hard feelings for Madhuri, but yes its difficult to beat Sridevi. Other superb dancers are/were- Vaijyanti Mala, Sandhya(few of her dances are uncomparable), Padmini, Hema Malini, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Jayaprada(she seemed even better than Sridevi in a jugalbandi with her),Wahida rahman, asha parekh (yes she was a trained Katthak dancer),rekha(though she was not a trained dancer),and not to forget the legendary Helen.

Thanks! Yes Sridevi can dance. She has taken a challenge with every filmi project. it was then when Sri was doing a telugu movie with Chiranjeevi directed by Raghavendra. both paired after a long gap, it was a tough competition in the dance department in the movie. both of them did well. Now tell me, Can Mads compete with Chiranjeevi.

WTF r ya crappin bout? Dance wif Chiranjeevi? Chiranjeevi is gud but Prabhudeva is undoubtedly the best India has ever produced. Prabhudeva himself said that Madhuri is da best female dancer he's worked with. Wut more proof do ya need? N no.. i'm not capable enuff to compare 2 legends.. i'd rather shut up.. wanted jus to reply to mr. S R comparin male n female dancers.. somebody knock some sense into him..

CHIRANJEEVI IS ONE OF THE BEST DANCERS IN THE COUNTRY! Prabhudeva and Lawrence d'souza are bachaas in front of him! If u have seen enough telugu films of Padma Bhushan Chiranjeevi the great, u will know.He is a little younger than Amitabh Bachchan and has equal or more fan popularity than him. If AB got popularity because of dialogue delivery and action scenes, Chiru has got popularity with dances and fight sequences.he was the first person in south films to learn and introduce break dance in films back then!He also did leran some martial arts to use them in his famous fight scenes.So, please insult this great man who had won numerous national awards for his acting skills. He is now Padma Bhushan Chiranjeevi. He has recently won the legend award.Actresses like Sridevi and Jaya Pradha would die to work with him in telugu films. So all the younger actresses are a far cry!

Both Sridevi and Madhuri have their own styles. If you want to compare -
Kate nahin katte is a seductive number. Madhuri has excelled in several seductive numbers - 'Dhak Dhak karne lagaa..", "Hum ko aaj kal hai intejar..." etc. If the question is whether she can dance similar songs as well as Sridevi, the clear answer is YES, she definitely can dance at least as good as Sridevi.
On the other hand, may I ask you -
i. Can Sridevi dance "Ankhiyan milaaye kabhi aankhiyaan churaaye?"
ii. Can Sridevi match Madhuri's speed in "key key saraa" from Pukar (with Prabhu deva)?
There is no denying that Sridevi is herself a great dancer. But Madhuri is more versatile, be it a pure Indian kathak dance or a superfast western number!
Madhuri is undoubtedly one of the finest and greatest dancers in India, both filmy as well as classical dance. She will be definitely be the Numero Uno always, for her dancing and acting skills.
