It is very heartening to know. last time i flew a malaysian airline or BA to chennai, they had nothing related to tamil. Had only hindi movies. now this is good news. lot of westerners think indian movies is all about bollywood though my japanese friends beg to differ. sivaji had the NJ in an uproar ( though personally i didnt watch it ) it included not just tamilians but all indians were curious about its popularity. Undoubtedly Rajini is undisputed king of Indian cinema this day. Chiranjeevi Shah rukh might come a distant second.
North India...South India...East India West India.......wen will we fight over this?? Y cant we think ourselves as INDIANS, we protested wen Shilpha Shetty was racially abused in UK.....at least British people dont abuse each other by saying North british , south british.....we are the most racist people in the world....north indians..south indians and on top of that hindus..muslims...jains and top of that dalits...jat,shudraas....the whole country is divided into thousands of categories and politicians prefer to keep it that way so that we dont kill them and we have someone else to kill !! Please my brothers and sisters...just for one or 2 days y dont u regard urself as an Indian and c the difference for urselves.There is no use of protesting at foreigners wen even more serious form of racism exist in our community in a different names - religious division- Casteism - lingual division and wat not and fot what?? Live and let live...Improve the quality of ur life and help others around u to improve their quality inorder to maintain a healthy community. My brothers and sisters...pls unite.....pls open ur eyes and think for urselves ..wat the real problem of our country is...its not religion..not caste...not poverty....its POLITICIANS....its high time that we KILL them Enough is Enough !!! hello.. These fights are always started by the northies. Just visit other articles about SRK or Amitabh or any bollywood movies, u can never see any fights like this. only when there is an article about south movies and that too particularly about Rajni, these northies come and fight here ..
It'll take eons for SOME ignorant northies (Not a blanket statement), to realize South India is actually not just madras, we don't talk english like Rascal-a in OSO, everybody doesn't act over the top in the movies, we have millions of dishes other than idli/sambhar/dosa/vada and above all the ALL northies are not the most well educated suave well behaved angels here on earth to protect India from the 'uncouth' southies! Grow up!

no Mr Praveen. Most of the south indian languages are more based on anscient classical Tamil, than sanskrith.
And modern day Tamil is 95% adopted version of the classical Tamil, with very few words from sansrit.
Sanscrit is hightly influenced in present day Telugu.
Kannada, Konkani , tulu and malayalam also have some sancrit in them.

Tamil and Sanskrit are the only two languages born in India. Other languages are variants of these languages. Ask any teacher, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada are children of mother Tamil.

Hey guys . Be an Indian first. Dont crib & carry grudge abt other fellow indians just because of their location. What diff it makes now from where a lingo originates. What makes diff is what lingo u r using now & how u connect with other Indians.
