Imagine the ego of the human race, to consider themselves so grand, as to warrant a creator worthy of praise.

"Gods are fragile things; they may be killed by a whiff of science or a dose of common sense."
..........Chapman Cohen
There are none more ignorant and useless, than they that seek answers on their knees, with their eyes closed.

If god doesn't like the way I live, Let him tell me, not you."

Several thousand years ago, a small tribe of ignorant near-savages wrote various collections of myths, wild tales, lies, and gibberish. Over the centuries, these stories were embroidered, garbled, mutilated, and torn into small pieces that were then repeatedly shuffled. Finally, this material was badly translated into several languages successively. The resultant text, creationists feel, is the best guide to this complex and technical subject

We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes

If the Bible is mistaken in telling us where we came from, how can we trust it to tell us where we're going?

There once was a time when all people believed in God and the church ruled. This time was called the Dark Ages
Richard Lederer (Anguished English)
Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man -- living in the sky -- who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do.. And if you do any...

BEST QUOTE
"What I don't like about bible thumpers, or any cult for that matter, is the arrogance exhibited with impunity by them as they perform their socially accepted public displays of schizophrenic indulgence with the goal of influencing weak-minded individuals, mostly young impressionable children, to join in activities that brainwash them into thinking a certain way so as to restrict their ability to freely reason, to police their own thoughts and become willing slaves, to not take responsibility for their own actions, and to be unquestioningly subservient to the will of a silent invisible entity whose thoughts and wishes are supposedly passed down through the overly exaggerated, un-provable, inconsistent, babblings of an old book that can only be deciphered correctly by someone who claims to be in direct contact with this entity, and who is undoubtedly either the most schizophrenic, or the most deviant member of the group. I see religion, all religion, as evil, and its minions as zombies."

viwed dispasionately, you may be right my friend. But unfortunately, even if there is no God, it is necessary to invent him, otherwise life would be unbearable for the week, and the dispossed. what else can they hope for and cling to even if it is only a mirage, a figment of the imagination ?

great way to get some publicity
by krishna rao on Nov 28, 2007 06:57 PM

i cannot belive that we still have readers to read such stupid news, in fact in chennai every corner house has a lord ganesha on their compund walls, every corner there is a small temple, every autorikshaw stand has a god, like this one has no choice but to walk bare foot all over tamilnadu, including airports, stations, shopping complexes, shops.

i would suggest footwear companies to sue this guy for affecting their sale.

now i would only recommend the advocates taking up gurumurthi's side to be carefull, he may have a gods dollor on his neck and expect them to fight the case barefoot.

Just Like That
Cranky activists
by Just Like That on Nov 28, 2007 06:57 PM

Just to get some cheap publicity, these cranky activists will dig up some stupid issues.

Whether this fellow has never seen any cinema in his life is to be seen. Just for an example, you can see the same actress marrying various heroes in various films. Will these activists file a case against them also saying that according to so and so law of the country, marriages without divorcing first wife is illegal and action to be sought?

Hey this is not Islam...
by desi on Nov 28, 2007 06:56 PM  | Hide replies

I am very angry.
Such stupid complaints will tarnish the image of Hinduism.

Is the Gurumurthy paid servant of God to have good public relations?

We are a free society and Hinduism is much much bigger than chappals, idols and an actress to get insulted so easily.

This is absolutely a stupid issue which has no value because its not in a reality but for Muhurat. Actress r getting married with different heroes in movies will that be an issue & should be taken to court? People who do not have any other work are noticing these unneceasry matters.

Hey Desi,
Try the same with some other religion in India. Fat Kushboo was either too arrogant or too stupid not to realize that she can't mess with religion while being a public figure (big, fat, etc.).

Hey Desi,

Mind your religion, don't talk about Islam. If you wanna talk about Islam, try to understand Islam thoroughly and make comments.

Kushboo is too fat.
by Truth Seeker on Nov 28, 2007 06:54 PM  | Hide replies

Kushboo is too fat. That's the reason she gets so much attention. If she and Prabhu are acting together in a movie, they don't fit in the same screen. There was a temple built for her. May be she thought she is an equal to rest of the goddesses. God save Tamilians.
