cheap publicity stunts of our down-the-hill aging chain-smoking star!
by Jay Walker on Nov 29, 2007 04:16 PM  | Hide replies

OSO probably spend more on marketing the movie that it will actually make...SRK is known for indulging in cheap gimmicks...trying to imitate the much more talented and much much taller, handsomer Hrithik Roshan by taking on illegal steriods at age 43...going to cricket matches to promote himself...he even made his children Hindu so that he could marry Gauri.

sivaji as content less as OSO. but as performance SRK is grt form than rajni in sivaji

The fact as pointed out by Mr Mahesh .......so true
by Peter Lazar on Nov 29, 2007 12:57 PM  | Hide replies

by Mahesh ....
I still don't understand how come OSO is a blockbuster ? They spent between 5 and 10 crore after the publicity only and the production cost was about 40 Crore. Rights were sold at wealthy 75 Crore. OSO has managed to collect 27 Crores in India and around 20 crore overseas still not beating 75 Crore. How come the movie is BB ? These all news and articles are bought by SRK or Farha Khan.

music rights 8 crore plus satellite rights, dvd rights plus merchandise rights. add all this and the amount will surely be greater than 75 crores.

FYI, Rajni was the first Indian actor in the world who commanded a cool Rs.10crore per movie..almost a decade ago.Though i am not a fan of his,but i still watched the movie..and its really a crowd puller. Moreover he is not only famous in his state, but in Japan as well..where they might not even recognize SRK for sure!!

Indian directors cant beat Canadian Directors
by chakde on Nov 29, 2007 10:54 AM  | Hide replies

no need to compare Water coz its been made by Ms Deepa.....n oso is been made by our local farah khan....n west is west so obiviously no comparison for it coz v r always in the habit of praising others n critisizing ours....any how the title itself is a joke...coz srk is the king khan of bollywood n many have come n gone in front of him for these titile but he is the lion who roar the industry......watch oso a full entertaining movie n forget all these bullshit comparison.

I watched OSO this sunday(exactly 1 week after the release)and u can walk in to the theatre even after half an hour after the movie starts & still get tickets easily. This is the situation of OSO in a multiplex in Bangalore, whereas in the same multiplex Chak De is still running successfully.

I think tht's the difference b/w good movie and a hyped movie.Hype can get u initial opening but it cannot sustain viewer's interest for a longer period of time.

So bro,SRK is the biggest Superstar/entertainer of this generation,i agree to that.In the same way,u don't have to blow trumpets for some of his ordinary fares(the category in which OSO falls).

rightly said water cant be considered as our movie coz its a canadian production n why the hell its been compared to our indian filmy masala..a sensible person obiviously would find a major difference in these movies water is a classic while oso is public paisa vasool movie its not been made for any oscar nomination or national award or something but only for public entertainment...one who wants to make the money already made it n many are fighting for its importance....lagta hai yeh hai india ka style

by Jay Walker on Nov 29, 2007 10:51 AM  | Hide replies

The 5 foot 5" Kalpen Patel is bigger star in the U.S. than the 5" 6" SRK...Kalpen's movie "HAROLD AND KUMAR" grossed 10 times "OM SHANTI OM"...and remember only the desi and Pakis go to see our aging actor from India.

If Sivajis was bakwaas, then are airline bakwaas?? (read below)

It will be a mid-air treat for fans of Tamil superstar Rajnikanth [Images] as Singapore Airlines has obtained exclusive rights for the in-flight screening of his blockbuster, Sivaji:The Boss.

"This is the first time that the Singapore Airlines has purchased the rights of an Indian movie. The film will be screened on all its international flights starting December 1," Bharat Mahadevan, Airlines Manager Southern India, told reporters in Chennai on November 28.

He said the rights had been purchased from Ayngaran International, a London-based company which had the distribution rights of Sivaji for the overseas market, by offering "two times more than the normal rate

Dear Nagarnaik or whatever u are
you are right SRK is not a mere actor but actor par excellence, otherwise are all the critics , public, media, award panels are paagal for awarding maximum number of best actor awards to SRK compared to any other bollywood star ever, barring the legend Dilip Kumar, who has been the sole inspiration and idol of generations of actors including Big B, Manoj Kumar the list also include our SRK. But in fact SRK is a good actor which is evident from his great performance in Chak De
