For all those people who have ranted and hammed SLB's saawariay, one can only wonder why? or was there a conspiracy to trash this film so that OSO grabs the audience. This is a beautiful film. With a story that can be described in 5 lines,SLB has been able to craft a telling visual tale. And the music and choreography is out of the world even though i initially thought that there were too many songs but the director manages to keep them short and within the narrative. As for the characters, each is well defined and the dialogues bring them out very well. Not to mention the superlative performances, specially by ranbir who is a league above the rest of his generation. And yes can definitely give hrithik a run for his monye when it comes to shaking his legs.
This is a movie not many in bollywood can conceive and realize and hence people have chosen to trash this instead of exalt it to the height of glorious indian cinema.
SLB has doen it again. a well made, well crafted, well acted, well sung and well danced movie, out of a simple story, only a master can execute.
Sorry, the SRK brigade and OSO fans, this is far above your league, and so there are really no comparisons to make
first time in my life i was out from the audi in the middle of the film. the total movie is torcher. if yoy want to take a revenge from any one just pass them a tickets of saaweriya
dont be a bloody sheep and follow the rest of the retards in slamming a beautiful movie.. bhagwan ne bheja diya hai- use it! dont become a paid critic like raja sen,, jo paise khilaye uski movie praise karo
Sanjay Lila Bansali is an overrated director. He is some time paraised by some critics may be because his backers throw lot of money to critics. I saw his Devdas which was an awful direction. Giving him filmfare award was an insult to memory of great director Bimal Roy.
U are supposed to represent idnependent and unbiased views for piece of ART. U are on eof the people who would want Indian spectators to keep watching stereo types..U represent the manipualted and chanelled views and not views of an independent spirit. U can not see Beauty, absorb the sweetness of music adn class of direction..all u can represent is the mentality of am unintelligent cheap fun seeking viewer..same on your insensitivity being a woman!
its a movie way beyond imagination...the movie is beautiful..with such a masterpiece..it is another feather on his cap..but its not a mass entertainer ....thats why low ratings.. may be 10 yrs. after ppl whill realise his creativeness
IT IS A MOVIE WHICH HAS TAKEN INDIAN CINEMA TO A DIFFERENT ELITE LEVEL. I tell you we should be proud to have a director like Sanjay Bhansali in Bollywood, he is a gift to Bollywood.....Our great legnedry directors like Raj sahab, Bimal roy, Guru Dutt etc must be proud to have a director like Mr.Bhansali..who is trying his best to keep their legacy moving forward. the Other name of Bhansli should be PASSION......thanks Bhansali jee for giving a BEAUTIFUL movie in the form of SAAWARIYA.
I was the only one adament among my friend circle to watch this movie inspite of bad reviews. Ended up with 5 more friends joining me......belive the the were the ones who were against to watch this movie buit they werethe one's who liked it the most. Watch the movie with an open mind and just see there is something classy and diff in this movie which will transpose you to a divine world. I AM SURE THAT IN TIMES TO COME THIS MOVIE WILL GET ALL THE RESPECT IT DESERVES.....THE MOVIE IS ABOVE BOX OFFICE AND COMMERCE.And yes Bhansli did equally focus a lot on the sets but that helped enhance the mood of the characters.
Friends see this movie to believe it. Please don't get bogged down by all the reviews. With due respect different people may have different views but I tell you this is a class movie and hats off to Bhansali for picking up a subject like this for presenting a young romantic love. I too was on the verge of being carried away by all the diff reviews ....but yesterday finally decided to go.....and discovered what Iwould have missed.Friends its a tribute to love in its purest form. Will be watching it again and am sure will come up with more nuances about this movie. It will grow up on ouy. Its a work of art, poetry, a page from novel. YOU NEED TO FEEL IT TO LIKE IT.
