The discussions in rediff are becoming more and more monotonous and boring. India cinema has huge audience and the market is huge enough to make place for both the movies.
I am a great fan of SLB and have seen saawariya as well as OSO. Let me make it clear that Saawariya in true sense is a classic, but OSO is a super masala entertainer and is for both class and mass. So its natural that its doing great in box office.
Saawariya being an excellent film too has its own share of niche audiences; but its not for Indian mass market. Declaring untrue and rubbish information that Saawariya is making huge money, will not prove anything.
Hope we understand these facts as quickly as possible.

Well said my pal. each movie has a different dimension. SLB movies are liked by one set of people, but movies like OSO will be liked by all type of audience, u know why? because a common man comes to a cinema hall to forget everything for the next three hours & enjoy the movie not to get into his blues. so for a common man OSO is the perfect blend not Saawariya.thats my thinking. - Manoj Nair.

I have seen both Saawariya and Om Shanti Om. OSO is just an awesome all-out entertainer. Saawariya is very dark and boring and toooooo slow. Any day I and billion other humans will want to watch OSO. Never Saaawriya. Rediff is not biased. The hatred against SRK just becoz he is a muslim is very obvious on these boards. But the truth coming from an impartial man like me is that OSO is a million times more entertaining than Saawariya. The MEDIA is not BIASED. In fact the ppl on these discussion boards are jealous and biased!

how can u say that oso has done 1.7million in us and around 400,000 in uk surpassing tom cruise lion of lambs and in india a massive 18 million dollar. while saawariya has done 1million in india and 1.2 million in rets of the world.

Dear Pal, before using that word 'uneducated Muslims' please think 100 times ur criticizing ur own brother.u mean to say only the Muslim population go in joint families, ur wrong then what about a Marwari family? they too go in loads & loads to watch the same movie. please understand it is not religion which is making the difference, it is the thirst which makes them go.

Please for god's sake dont divide viewership on muslim and hindu basis. You dont like SRK, better not watch or talk about him but plz plz dont divide India on any basis. We as it is are too divided so plz dont hurt India by these remarks.
whoever said sawaariya is a great luv story shud've atleast realized by now that the whole movie is abt a f**king bridge that bears the burden of 2 morons; a guy who wants to steal a dumb female who's in luv with sallu(who is twice her age) and a female who flirts around the idea of having the best of both men..tell me wat sense does it make??
I feel KANK was much much..(to the power of infinity) than this 3 hrs of "bridge" movie.Rani has done so well but she has been suppressed everytime when she was abt to deliver her best.
What do we conclude from sawaariya??2 young guys met on a bridge, sung n danced on a bridge, cheated each other on a bridge and the movie ends on the bridge..
Sallu said he has 45 min of screen presence..all bull..he's there only for 5 min.

If a single person is gonna tell me Saawariya is more entertaining than OSO then i'm ready to watch it..(even if i've to buy tickets in black..). But the question is, is it worth it??
OSO is No. 7 on the UK Box Office. Saawariya is No. 12. OSO has been released in abt 52 screens and the latter in 46, even then there are no tickets. The only reason why saawariya has reached even 12th is cos ppl didn't get tickets for OSO n no ther reason other than that..
I already know that this movie is not interesting. Copying other dosent mean you are giving new to audience. Only heavy advertising making this movie popular. SRK go to body builders competition, definitely you will get first Prize.
OSO was a great fun movie, we enjoyed our post Diwali morning watching this great fun filled flick with a huge troup of family and friends and we had a Blast! It really lit up our Diwali. Thanks SRK and Farah.
i think these guys are smart enought to bluff the audience .... every1 expects good movies from SRK as an actor and SLB as an director ... SRK needs good director and strong story line... SLB needs best actor to act ...then only their movies are super duper kinda stuff... both both were tied with some kinda commitiments with thier friends so both had to compromise ..... watever succes both movies got is jus cause of the "name" factor i.e SRK and SLB.... i have only seen OSO and tat too cause of SRK ..he is very good entertainer...but he truly disapointing to see him selecting such kind of bad subjects and aa bad directors .....(i think Chak de director has quite well used him) Farah khan sud stop directing movies she is too good as a choreographer she sud continue it ... But truly speakin both the movies sud be super duper flop ..nothis is in atleast oso...its was bullshit....
Dear Abdullah Sidky! Good to find a true take on OSO movie. It does manage to speak the frustration inside every reader who is disappointed and was angry at Raja Sen's silly review.
Hi SOS, (Save our soles) if SRK, claims that this is one of his best movies, it can be, because SRK has become INSANE. Talks too much and over-confident.
At the end of the day, Farah Khan and SRKhan have made their moolah !

I watched the movie and I am still wondering how this movie is getting this much hyp....what happens to people...what they are thingking...
Only first half is good..second half is pathetic... I am agree with Abdullah Sidky. I can say only one thing...If OSO can be a hit then any movie in bollywood can be a hit.
