A kitschy present-day, Farah Khan take-off on the ultra-popular %u201970s Bollywood potboiler that, in her own words is a tribute to filmmaking. Om (Shah Rukh Khan) is a struggling junior artiste who is a regular on the sets of RC Studios. The son of junior artistes themselves, he aspires to become a big star any day and his dreams are bolstered by his filmy best friend Pappu (Shreyas Talpade) and his even more OTT filmy mother (Kirron Kher). He is also madly in love with Bollywood%u2019s heartthrob, the %u2018Dreamy Girl%u2019 ShantiPriya (introducing Deepika Padukone!). Alas, she is someone else%u2019s and he doesn%u2019t get a chance to tell her about his love as his life comes to an untimely halt.
But this is a Hindi movie and you have to leave your brains out, or so the filmmaker is telling you. So, Om takes re-birth (in the film industry itself) as a former superstar%u2019s superstar son. And God (or the filmmaker) gives him a second chance to make the wrongs of his past life, right. And now, if we tell you anymore about the film, it will be too obvious! (It is, after all, a full filmy flick!).
What we liked about the film
Almost everything (Yes, we admit, we%u2019ve sold our souls to SRK)! Which is 98.35 per cent of the film! The film is more a take off on the re-birth formula, made famous by Karz in the %u201970s than a tribute; but it does brilliantly. Farah Khan has made everyone act superbly (yes, including Arjun Rampal!). There are so many things to watch out for so we will just list a few highlights:

are babasingh....me bhi srk ka fan hu...lekin isse GHATIA MOVIE MENE USKA DEKHA NAHI RE...
I am a SRK Fan.But after seeing OSO, I am shocked.Trying to make a complete fool of moviegoers by promoting a film like OSO, SRK killed his own self who has won the heart of the country by playing Kabir in Chak De.SRK has indulged in unashamed self promotion, which is absolutely OK.What is not OK, is doing such injustice to his own talent, by doing a film like OSO.SRK you are great, but you are not God. Even you wont be able to save this disaster called OSO.And Rediff, please stop the 'Chamchagiri'.At least be honest in your reviews.

cool it guys!!! oso is a super duper hit!!! if u cud digest those ham movies like partner, hey baby n bhool bhulaiya then u shud accept at least this not so bad movie 4 diwali..n btw rediff is not wrong 4 the 1st time .. as not only rediff the entire newspapers n film critics have given this movie a thums up.. so get real n stop cursing srk.. he has finally reduced his ham acting n trying 2 do different roles apart from playing the typical charming boy next door. chak de was superb and oso is much much better than akshay kumar's hey baby n bhool bhulaiya. at least hez not so loud as akshay kumar n can manage comedy very smoothly. besides oso has variety n something new 2 offer apart from other cheap comedy movies.. so cool down n if u didnt like tat movie then let it go!!! many others have liked it n u better digest tat!!

hey i have never liked srk n used 2 hate all his ham acting typical movies wich had just gud songs n tat's y they were aleays super hit.. i thought y not give it a try 4 this movie .. n 2 my surprise after chak de the next movie wich i liked of srk is om shanti om. despite being 3 hrs movie, u hardly come 2 know when it starts n when it ends.. over all it's a total paisa vasool.. newcomer deepika has acted nicely tho in a small role. srk has proved all his critics wrong n tat includes me also.. def watching it once in theatre...

hey i called it paisa vasool coz usually if u walk out of the theatre in the middle of the movie wich i did during hey baby n partner, then all the money has gone in drain..partner was direct scene 2 scene copy of a very sweet n touching movie hitch...i agree there r many flaws in oso n hard 2 digest material... but it's a smart movie wid some unique n innovative technological stuff..i liked the dialogues n the songs wich i usually hate 2 watch in hindi cinemas..it has def got some story.. tho not entirely a gr8 script but it def keeps u glued 2 the seat till last min. if people liked main hoon na, n above mentioned movies.. then i think this is def a paisa vasool movie as it has got wat a viewer wants..n besides it's a clean family movie... no cheap double meaning dialogues.. like those in partner, hey baby... hope u now understand wat paisa vasool means.. else if it's not yet understood then errrrr ask some1 who knows better than me...
kya super headache movie he...meri diwali boring kar di yar...1st half tho ok tha..lekin 2nd half tho abi tak samaj nahi aya re,,,isse achha JWM dubara dektha...
