I have the greatest respect for this young composer who has achieved something of a clout which no one has ever been able to. His music is great and there is something different in each composition. I wish him all the best in his future compositions. I am sure that he will do wounderful work and make India proud.
Now coming to the comments made by many. I just want to mention that there are some who would like to say always something bad and sill about others. Even if you had written about the Almighty, these will say something . So we need not bother to read such silly remarks about great people. People who write such rubbish about others, first must know what they theyselves are. Some one wrote that AR Rahman copies.. What about the man who wrote this, can he compose 20 seconds of good music on his own. Let us not talk ill of others, but respect them for what they are.

A Person who broke all the old rules in the music industry, A Person who broke the boundary and took Indian Music to the world, A Person who created History by selling 100 million copies (Only Indian in the List), A Person who gives variety like, VandheMatharam, Jan Gan Man, Taj Anthem, Pray for me Brother and list goes on... A Person who has his feet firmly in ground though his fame has touch the sky A Person who has set an example for the youngster ('Hard work Pays') A person who's music entered thrice for the Oscar Nominee list A Person who still respects his Gurus(Ir, MSV,...) A Person who can give great music for both Period Movies and Commercial Movies as well A Person who is still strong in the music industry even after ruling the industry for more than 15 years since he started his career. A Person who is the inspiration for many many many youths to India to start their career in Music A Person... thats ONE AND ONLY A.R.RAHMAN.
he is a living legend...his humility , grace, radiance and his voice of course ..is unmatchable..he is an assst for our country and for tamil music industry...no other state could/can produce such a legend...long live rahman

rahman is ulaga tamizhan..( means global tamilian ) ..he is our gem and anybody speaking bad about him is parochial and frustated ( that they dont have such musicians in thier indutry ) ...listen even in the next 100 yrs ...other industry cannnot match the potential of chennai and its filmi output...

Rahman is only half Tamilian...his father was a National award winning Malayalam music director.
Rahman finished. He does n't have any more songs in his stock. He is always mixing/ coping arabic and mexican songs. That is why he is taking lot of time to give music.Searching for new released songs in arabic

thats not the point ..i replied to the baseless allegation levelled against ARR by some insignificant entity ....similarity's are bound to there in any field..after all its only 7 sura's that are reproduced by any music director ..but the difference lies in adapting it to the local taste ..there are so many western songs which draw inspiration from our classical music ..that does not mean they are copy cats .its blending ..its improvisation ..ultimately its fusion ...lot of over smart people think they have made a great discovery and jump with columbuscian joy....hey listen ARR is legend...and as far as your advice goes i think its you who should expand your mind and come out of petty , narrow and boxed thinking and start appreciating success ...tell me one person in any field who has not drawn inspiration from related field...

rahman is great ..he is a person who has "sucessful intelligence " ..( if u dont know the meaning ask me i will tell u )...he is true indian and a tamilian...we are so proud of him ..those who comment should know about thier background , thier culture, thier language , thier limitation ...tamil film industry and music are the best ..yes only they lack in numbers when compared with hindi ( that because of population ) ,but its all tamil and tamil dubbed versions in south ...nobody can deny that ..

Well you think that you know everything about music. And if you think that ARR has mixed & copied arabic and mexican songs I challange you to give one eg: for that with the original song. I bet you cant.
So its better for you to keep quiet if you cnt say what he had copied.
And for you kind information 3 of his films have been released for this year (GURU-Hindi, Sivaji, Azhagiya Tamizh Magan-Tamil). The songs have been mega hits.
Try and find out whether you can find any arabic or mexican songs in these too. ALL THE BEST. Hereafter if you are commenting on some one I advice you to please use your brain.
i have seen him in London near Muslim league of london that time his hair was short he looks good in short hair if Rehman reads this please change your hair style to short with long you look like a small kid we want you to be smart and romantic like your music and voice...

himesh is a mushroom who sprouted in recent rains and will be ( already has ) gone by next summer ..see rahman's longetivity...rahman is a legend and nobody can reach his level..he is our ulaga tamizhan ..an asset fot Tamil Film industry...if himesh is acting that means he is looking for other areas because his main competence has eroded and dabba khali ho gaya...no stuff left...but rahman has music in his blood , his nerves and his soul nobody can match it
