In keeping with the title of ur posting SHANE, I would like to declare that Ranbir and I were classmates and we went to do number two around the same time every day.
This meant that we were in the adjoining toilet booths. Ranbir used to break wind very badly and this made the whole toilet useless for an hour after he had used it!
His stinkers were so potent that he once almost gassed the whole class unconscious!!
I hope he doesn't do the same to the audience with his acting!
I wish my former classmate all the success in this forthcoming venture!!!

Malayam movies are mainly about coconut vendors struggling with how snug they want to tie their lungis.
If Ranbir or anybody for that matter would like to hear the sound of coins jangling in a tin utensil, they would get a tin utensil; some coins and re-create that cacophony!!
What Ranbir did with the mute button is a normal response when you see a movie with bunch of coconut vendors swinging from tree-to-tree trying to court grotesquely shaped, moustached, ill-clad "females"!
Only a Malayali would take an exception to Ranbir's muting of malayalam movies!!!

Kunwar Singh Saab...let me correct u there..Iam not a mallu..but ur description there is downright insulting, stupid and shows a complete lack of knowledge of the art of film making by maestros in India.I have lived all my life in new delhi...born to a Goan mom and a Rajasthani dad. I can completely vouch for the fact that mallu movies are not about coins in a tin utensil, coconut vendors swinging tree to tree...it is more often than not extremely brilliant screen play about real people in real situations and nothing is over played to the gallery like running to temples, getting the girl boarding a train or a flight,or sashaying half naked on mountain tops. The acting is almost always top notch. How do I know? Coz i saw a couple because my friend told me about it. Their top heroes are not candidates for Mr.India and are not manic dancers, but are extremely down to earth and deliver top notch heavy duty performances everytime. I think barring Naseer,Paresh rawal,om puri, pankaj kapur and maybe, just maybe Amitabh none of the bollywood brigade can hold a candle to them. No wonder the Malayalam movie industry almost always snags the best actor/actress/director awards at the national level. A close second or a contemporary peer is bengali movies. Bollywood is nowhere on the scene. So before you shoot your mouth with irrelavent intellectually stunted words, please stop for a second, think, ponder, ask yourself have you seen enough to talk. Iam sure the answer everytime will be a no.

If such is the affairs of our state where our youth spend time babbling about how good are the actor in the south and the north. How can we achieve our vision of a developed India that the our former prez has set down. One that all of us need to envision....and all the while we compare ourselves with China...I must say if you visit China you would realise that you utter the name of India and China in the same breath, such is the disparity between China (a place where national interests and the nation is given preference over self or region) and India (a place where the youth, the future spend time squabling over the film industry and that too on a regional basis all which hinder growth of a nation).......
