not the first time mr daler

Daler should note that this is not the first time something like this has happened but earlier people respected each other & worked for films rather thans self publicity. Else why did Talat Mahmood not protest when the full song " kasi Haseen Aaj"frm the film Aadmi was dubbed in voice of Mahendra Kapoor though Talat's voice is more convincing in the song.

I am amazed at Mr Wasi's message! In which world are you Mr Wasi?

I am glad that Daler has raised an issue as artists rights are often compromised by ruthless producers and big names. In this case it so happend both are well known. Had it been a lesser known singer it wud have been his career at stake!

Wake up Mr Wasi

shankar and punjabi

first time i heard the song..it struck me then..wht is shankar doing in this punjabi song..though he has done a gr8 job...daler or mann wld hav been a better bet adding tht mitti ki khushbu..and now tht this news has come out..evrytime we wld hear the song...we wld always figure daler gata to kaisa lagta..im sure thr mst hav been some confusion whr daler wld hav been called to hum the song and thn the producers wld hav thought otherwise. coz somethng of this sort from those sighted is highly unexpected..still if wrong has been done let court take its stand..law prevails in India..atleast for the rich and famous:) prob here is both parties are rich and famous so whose side wld law favour more..wait and watch..

He (Daler) got his remuneration for singing and producer same time trial others also and now producers/director's right to chose the singer after listening voice. Then there is no matter of legal notice..

Daler Mehendi would have sounded better
by Bollywoody on May 30, 2007 08:02 AM

Though Shankar Mahadevan has done a good job. Daler Mehendi would have sounded fabulous and made this song chart buster song from a good song.

Although I am sure he can't win becuase either he already got paid or there is a legal language which allows the producer to do this.

As most correctly pointed out - people gets the best for their business. Chopras may have paid Daler, made him practice and sing but then realized that the Music Director may be a better alternative given the song and range.
The title song is nice and for a singer to have it in his portfolio means better concert outputs; many singers fight for good tunes as their songs remain immortal and helps them in career (aka actors going for good roles).

In short a real "Chill-Pill" for Daler is required. Also, do not try fighting with the "sher" in the Industry especially after being jailed for human traffic-ing in Canada.

if the contract between the two does'nt say anything like this then Daler is right in taking them to court....just because Chopra's are big it does'nt mean he should just take it as u say"Chill -Pill", this is the problem with all of us indians....no one wants to fight the one doing wrong and when others do ..just critise or stop them instead of supporting them

O Birbal ji gyan chodo ....c producer is a customer to singer ...if he thinks product is not good he will go with another product ...the same happend ...Daler should cry if he is not paid ...rather he is now crying that he is being paid for the services but was not used ......
