Could reviewers please provide translation for the Hindi words they use in reviews? I'm from Malaysia and I have no idea half of what was being said in this review. Thanks.
Rediff should do a better job of finding good reviewers. If you check out this review one would feel no one can barely watch this movie but still the movie is a hit as per rediff's Box Office listing!

The promos are quite lame. The movie itself is quite good. YOu will appreaciate the editing, camera work, and director's capability in handling the scenes. This year's best editing should go to this movie.
Not many ppl have reviewed the movie, but reviewed the reviewer :)
Anyways....my take... those that are from Bombay may already tell you that it is a glorified real-life story. But besdie that fine movie moments are - some actors, like Sanju, Vivek ( his dialogues were limited, more emphasis on body language . Director conscisouly/unconscisouly always kept him on the edge of the lens, and let the other Dolas gangsters act loud.) , and Rohit Roy - Rohit was very very good in the last moments ( leaving the room, getting back in shock, and his last call to his father). I actually enjoyed the songs, even though ill-placed. One song is 'Eh Ganpat, garam Chai laao'.
Tushar and the bachchans were bad. Although violent enough to make my heart go thump-thump, the gore was not visible due to very well-edited scenes, which clipped each scene to a minimum. Tushar geting bashed up in the end was a very well-done action scene, that guy refused to die.
Syed was right in one thing though - wonder which reporter on Indian television speaks Hindi the way Diya did.
Amitabh scenes were very pakao! I don't understand what the khalistani militants were doing in the movie. That was a useless track. So both Bacchans have disappointed.
Lakhiya has been quite unfair to abhishek after mumbai se aaya mera dost got flopped. Badla le re la hai bhai. Remember only one scene in Ek ajnabee and this time as well.
Bhai shuru ka half n hour was very very pakao. I was wondering ki shayad main galti to nahi kar di 110 rupee kharch kar ke.
Amrita Singh ki acting aachi lagi apun ko.
Syed you must write reviews like this only. Let the dogs bark.

abe akal ke andhe, shayad tune movie thik se thekhi ne aur phokat me style maar raha hai. This movie is far superior than most of the awaited releases of this year like Jhoom barabar jhoom, umaraao jaan.
Bhai Log is meri baat suno, ekbar ye movie dekh lo. You will appreciate performances & enjoy the camera work.
i have not wateched the movie and i don't intend to but i enjoyed the review in "bambaiya" language review? i don't see anything "filthy" or undecent in the language the reviewer uses. are we so close minded that we cannot tolerate little bit of humour? the reviewer is not cursing anybody, but he is just presenting things in the language most people in mumbai would speak (the story/incidence depicted in this movie is supposed to take place in mumbai, remember?) are we saying that all these people speak filthy language? that's absolutely non-sense.
i must state that, i would get boared (pakao-ed -- if you will :)) if the write keeps on writing in this style. but every once in a while it's a refreshing change
