Actually he is DIRECTOR's Actor, just see all priyadarshan movies and u will love him in all movies, and if you see shyam banegal movies also u will find him more polished. and on the other hand if he work with DAVID DHAWAN ( Mr and Mrs khiladi etc) or with any other director HE IS TOTALLY WASTE !!! so its depend on Director to took out 1000% from him...............
No doubt one of the best character actor in the current indian movie era. Being Gujarati, I have grown up watching his Drama. He was fantastic on stage as well.
Infact, I have heard the stories of his comic genius and naughty nature from my father who was with him in the same school. He was so naughty that the school principal had refused to take him in the group pictures.
And also a small titbit.. though not in film line, his brother is even more hilerious than him. I guess its all running in their blood.

Yeah Khyanam Khyana...he was awesome in that He was great in Andaz Apna Apna too
When I saw him in "Phir bhi dil hai Hindustani" I thought we had found a replacement for Sanjeev Kumar, but he did not get any more roles like that. He is getting repetitive now. but he is a great actor nonetheless
