What is this Khan & Khan everywhere are these Pathans. Abhishek went to Cannes (Courtsey Aishwarya)to get some relieve from these Khans but look what found another Khan stealing all the show there. Can someone tell Abhishek and Amitabh to change their name to Abhishekh Khan and Amitabh Khan, and than they would be in the leagues of Khans. It looks this is the only way lrft for these Bachhchans to compete with Khans. May be then they could deceive some Hollywood directors(not bollywood-cuz they would know the trick:)and get some Hollywood movies... Cheers...

Chhappan tikli beta.. people like you are the real problems who whine about almost everything no matter good or bad. You tend to forget that to reach to the highest level you have to start from the lowest. You start adulating people once they get success but you never feel happy for them or encourage them when they are struggling. Irfan is a real hero from my stand point as he emerged to this level from a lower middle class. So is everyone else like Shahrukh khan, Ompuri, Anupam kher. People like you adulate idiots (Salman, fardeen etc) who do not have real talent but are successful because they were born with silver spoons...
And if you dont know much then do not start barking.. not just om puri and amrishpuri, but many other indians have done better roles.. here are a few of them Aishwarya Rai - Bride and Prejudice Kabeer Bedi - Octopussy Naseer-Ud-Din Shah - League of Extra-ordinay... Gulshan Grover - dont remember the name Vijay amrit Raj - Octopussy Salman Khan - Marigold - Playing the lead role Raise your level of thinking. It is you who needs to grow up.

yaar why all Indian actors are Dieing to work in Hollywood movies ? and my sweet heart "Bharat Naruka " I really appreciate your knowledge of Indian Actors who worked in English movies, but out of your list , did u saw that only 1--2 movies were of Big budget either every other movies was of B or C grade( like "League of Extra-ordinay, The return of Pink panther etc") in which u can see Indians Actors.

LOEG was a big budget movie starring Sean Connery. IT flopped but this is a different story. None of Octopussy, Bride and Prejudice, Return of Pink panther can be considered b/c grade movies. Anyway.. that is not the point.
Why are our actors dying to work in Hollywood seems more relevent questtion. Here are the reasons 1. Greater recognition 2. Better technology hence better movies 3. Greater audiance 4. Better response to meaningful/realistic cinema. Movies like 'Ray' excell in hollywood while in India movies like 'Black' flop 5. Mature audience - Audiance to Hollywood movies all over the world understand that a movie like AKS is not a horror movie and a movie like RDB doensnt necessarily need to have a happy ending. 6. In bollywood, no one turns up to movies like Sardar and Subhash chandra Bose - The forgotten hero. 7. There is more to hollywood movies than just love triangles and angry Sunny Deols

Had you been in his place and media interviewed you, would you say that "It is just a small role which has given me reconition in Cannes. So I better don't start barking".

kya baat hai bhart, khub kaha,Irrfan Salam bombay me khada bhi nahi ho paya ke us ka roll khatam hua. ( in salam bombay he used to write letters for Chai pau, baithe baite ) now he stands tall, aaj oh jis bulandi per hai haare liye prerna hai. i like his evry performance, jab kabhi dekh ta hu aisa lagta hai is carector me kuch jaan dal di ho.

Bharat, U have explained very well. I also adore those actor who really mark there good prints in small roles. The length of the roles is hardly matter, the role should be important.

India started to rise just because of Globalization..,people start getting jobs. Think abt 20years back did India had jobs except Teacher and Banks and some cloth industries?
We need to think Global..and consider Humanity a priority.

What? "he is nowwhere near exceptional actor".How stupid can you be? Irfan,konkana,Tabu,Kaykay,N shah,Paresh Rawal,amir khan are actors par excellence.Amitabh and aish to a lesser extent.There are few actors who can beat them.All the others play mostly to the crowd.There is a difference and thats why they are renouned.He has played side roles in hindi movies always,so whats the deal in playing a similar role in english?

irfan is one of the India's best actors in terms of acting skills.If you any doubts check out his films then compare his acting skills with Stars like Salman khan,fardeen khan ..etc. Playing a lead role does not make good or gr8 actor.
