yes i do agree. he is down to earth guy. last week he was standing in front of me in a queue for security check at hyderabad airport. and he said to hello and shook hands with every security man who recognised him and wished him.

when i reminded him of our meeting around 10years back on the sets of kishan kanayia and the incident which led to name his role as "lobo" the laundrywala, he immediately remembered and remembered my mother too, who was with me at that time.

National Anthem, sense of humour etc
by arun sarma on May 24, 2007 09:16 AM  | Hide replies

For some of you chaps, the National Anthem is so fragile that it cant take a few jokes huh?
You probably cannot stand jokes about your religion, region, country etc.. which only shows how fragile and weak you think each of these to be. Get a life kids... the National Anthem can take a few jokes cracked by a comedian anyday. The idea of our nation or religion or identity should be strong enough to be able to laugh at oneself once in a while. Peace.

arun - i don't think the national anthem should take jokes for the entertainment of dawood and his brother..... if it were constructive criticism, that would be valid and acceptable.

resorting to jokes on national anthem or vande mataram demonstrates the lack of creativity our entertainment industry has.

National anthem itself is a joke, written for King George V, to welcome him in 1913, by Rabindranath Tagore. do you ever thought who is Bharat Bhagya Vidhata? or "Gahe Tava jay gatha" who is being praised in this?...Vande Mataram Is our true national Anthem...

MR. %u2026%u2026 whatever u, thk. several times before saying anything abt. National Anthem which we have been singing since from our school days. National Anthem is about our land, our culture. At the same time I am not underestimating Vande Mataram. But don%u2019t say that National Anthem is made for praising some Britisher.

I think Meet Andy is right.....
Its just that we are being taught from our boyhood days that the national anthem is written for India......

Vandey Mataram Is our Real, or True National Anthem.

We Even have erected a very famous memorial to celebrate the Coming Of King George V.
