Abhishekh is a part of the film dynasty. After giving umpteen flops, no other newcomer would have survived. He was lucky that he had a father called BIG B, that he could reach the Yuva phase. He was lucky to have a co-star like Rani in Yuva and Bunty Babli, two of his most appreciated movies. Lucky again to be favored by the likes of Mani Ratnam, Yash Chopra and Karan Johar for being the son of Mr. Bachchan. No doubt he has given some good performances but I don't think a normal struggling actor would ever get such opportunities after so many flops. Although I am not a fan of Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar, I think they deserve their popularity and star status because they were common man's children, not part of any Dynasty. After all not evryone can star in a YashRaj film as a lead actor after giving almost 20 flops in a row.

Abhijeet, I completely Agree you, Ur words are True, although AB Jr has Proved his amazing talent in Mani Ratnams films and Ram Gopal Vermas, again y does he needs his Dads support for each and every movie Reviews, Music Launch(GURU music Launch), I wish he goes Alone and Give hits in Box Office, Let us see how he Stays for Longer time with Contemporaries Ruling Khans, Kumars, Roshans etc...

A Case for Lara and against this combination. Lara has an inborn army daughter personality. She has broad shoulders and thats why appear taller than Aish or other actresses of equal height, hence shadowing AB's height. Winning miss Universe is no joke so cant question her smartness. She may not be better actress but it takes a while and there are other hopeless actresses like Priyanka,Eesha,Bipasha etc who are famous because they got better director and script etc. Now Mr AB. Whether he is a good or bad actor is separate question but his sense of apperance is really irritating. Proven actors like Irrfan, Shreyas Talpade, KK Menon or even oldies like Naseeruddin, Om Puri has better dressing sense than Mr AB.

Excuse me, but Priyanka Chopra IS NOT by any means a "hopeless actress." She is a powerhouse of talent. Also, Lara is WAY TOO talented to be paired with Abhishek.
Lara Dutta is so HOT! She deserves a MUCH better co-star than the ugly 'I don't even know how to shave' daddy-made star Abhishek Bachchan. Abhishek has been in the industry for seven years yet he only has one solo hit, which was Guru. Lara will eat Abhishek alive in Jhoom Barabar Jhoom.

By the way how many hit Lara got? Lara and Priyanka came in film indusrty same time Priyanka came in so many movies and got few hit also but Lara doesn't even came as main actress.If Daddy is supar star that's good for any kid. But the tone you used for Abhi seems like it is a crime. Give a break to kid stars.

Like it or not AB Jr is a pathetic actor, his dad keeps pumping money into his movies and is surviving in the industry only because of his dad. Any other guy with that many flops to his credit would have been kicked out of the industry by now. There is no space for good talent because actors like abhishek are occupying it. The movies you mentioned above have an ensemble cast, he does not have a solo hit to his credit. Please do not mention Yuva and Guru, those are Mani Ratnam movies and will do well irrespective of the actors. Even an Emraan Hashmi in a Mani Ratnam movie will be good.

Also wanted to add that John Abraham stole the show in Dhoom 1 and Dhoom 2 was a hit due to Hrithik. Bunty aur Bubli was a hit due to rani because she complements him. Put Abhishek with an unknown actress and see if he can deliver a hit just by carrying the movie on his soulders.

hey Mitali, Dil se was maniratanam's film starred Shahrukh & it bombed at box office. So it's not jst the director who makes the film hit or flop. It's a team effort & everyone deserve credit for that.
Now whether u guys accept it or not but this is the fact that Abhishek can carry a film & pull the crowd in the theatre. I don't understand y u ppl are scared to appreciate sumbody's effort. It's not his fault to be Big B's son. Let's not take all his credits only coz he's is Amitabh's son.
As far as series of flops r concerned even Hritik is not far behind despite of the fact that he is one of the best actors we hve in country. It was his father who came in for rescue.
So every father supports son to any extent & if a father doesn't do so then there is sumthing wrong with him.

I wonder y amitabh didnt used his star power for abhishek when he was giving continuous flops. I wonder y critics applauded him 4 many roles for many movies but they went flop. His role in Yuva was just a fluke Since he has married ash now .. he is worthless.

Mitali, I agree with everything you said. You said it perfectly. Abhishek is a total daddy-made star. The truth is Emraan Hashmi has more SOLO HITS than Abhishek. That is a FACT - Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Zeher, Aksar, Kalyug, Murder, Gangster vs. Guru (which was a Mani Ratnam film). Cute: Yes, Priyanka has more hits and is a better actress than Lara. 100% agree with you. Abhishek is dad made star and poor guy think that he is a great actor. Only in India this could happen that pathetic actor abhishek is superstar only coz his dad published paid advertisement of him in media.
