I never liked shahrukh, but personally i liked the new don (may be it has more to do with the director). In anycase, cant fugure out how did dharmendra come out a gr8 actor, cant remember him doing anything that other actors havent done. and wats this even 'Mithun', kiddo mithun has got couple of proper national awards, unlike the ' for your sake' ones like amitabh bhachan recieved.

It depends on director/story writer/script writer not on the actor.
Dharmender is billion times better than this Shahrukh(Name is saying to stop(rukh) but he does not care,Suleman(nothing to say),Saif(highly recommended),Amir(want to prove something different but not tried to compare with the great artists),Vevek Oberoi(Grand,-hmmmm),John Abraham(specially recommended) etc ec. Today artist are are recommended by medias or a/some rich/powerful person but Dilip kumar,Dharmender,Rajesh Khanna and finally the legend Amitabh,- they were made by the people not the media or anyone else.

Agreed this generation Superstars like SRK and SAIF are all media hypes. THE MEDIA is a lapdog to them.
After seeing SRK in DON 2, if feel why Manmohan Desai launched only amitabh for the real DON.
SRK reminds me of DEVANANDJI in jewel thief. Same style same acting..same hamming.

Absolutely right.
Not exactly sure about others, but Amitabh has surely gone to become a totally self-made celebrity. He used to have the worst relations (an actor could have) with the media in his era. And still continued to be the ONE-MAN SHOW for more than 10 years.
Perhaps, that is why such a great actor like him won such few Best-Actor awards in his entire career.
On the contrary, just have a look at SRK. Due to his good PR, he used to "win" a Best-Actor Filmfare award every year (since DDLJ), until Hrithik (the new golden boy of the media)arrived.
