Trade experts: Boxoffice India- Big Brother is a surprise success in Delhi-UP, East Punjab, Rajasthan and Bihar. It is the biggest hit of the year in Bihar. Indiaglitz- Big Brother is doing well in Delhi-UP, East Punjab, Bihar, Rajasthan and even Gujerat. Bollyvista- Big Brother doing well in UP, Bihar, Rajasthan and East Punjab. Indiafm- Big Brother opened well in the north Planet Bolywood- Big Brother is surprisingly good in Delhi, UP, Bihar, Rajasthan and East Punjab. According to producer and Guddu Dhanoa, the film is even a superhit in UP and only the Mumbai collections have been below expectations.
The biased media (rediff is the perfect example) have been proved how wrong they are. Sunny's star power is doing the talking and having the last laugh.
Big Brother is supposed to be a long, delayed film. It released without tremendous promotion, wihout any media hype. In fact, the media have generally ignored the movie and even the few reviews that have been put up are extremely negative. But so were Gadar, Indian, Ziddi, Jeet, Ghaatak, The Hero etc... And Sunny Deol seems to be emerging victorious against all odds once again. The movie is doing fine business in the north according to trade experts (see indiafm and boxofficeindia). No matter what biased critics say, the film is a good one in its genre. It has some hard hittting scenes and Sunny Deol comes up with a powerful performance. Once again he is proving that no matter what the biased critics say, it is the masses that have the last say.
What do critics say? That Sunny is repetitive. What about Shah Rukh? Am even more fed up with Shah Rukh's rona-dhona roles. He does same type of role over and over. But since Shah Rukh is media friendly, no one will criticise him for that. Sunny's films have always been ignored by the media. Even Gadar was ignored for Lagaan and Indian was ignored for Ashoka by the media. But, Gadar and Indian came out on top. Typical of Rediff for not even putting up a review for Big Brother. But the according to indiafm, the movie has opened well in the north. One thing is for sure. Sunny is the best at what he does. He is the best action movie hero. And his action is hard hitting. It's not those fake looking stunts which the likes of Hrithik are doing. I watched Dhoom 2 and Krrish and those cheap special effects made the action scenes look embarassingly fake and ridiculous. It's a fact that Bollywood don't have the financial means of Hollywood to create high quality special effects. Stick to Sunny's punches. It works.
just look once his movies u will come to know y he is having so much appeal..in his movies he comes out as real hero, Hero should be a person who can be identified easily out of a gathering of 1000..dancing is not only the parameter where one shud be judjed..i personally feel.. dancing is not a work of heros it suits to heroines only...he does not get support from media..even though mass si with him..just go toany movie of him...he will be welcomed by clappings only...i saw his nakhsha at bangalore multiplex..it was a surprise to me there also he got same treatment

i completely agree with u. They are most underrarted actors. watch Sunny in Ghatak,Damini,Border, Jeet, Arjun, Border, Gadar,Arjun Pandit etc & Dharam ji in Sholay,chupke Chupke,Hakumat,Satyakam,& many more, if any doubt.I think they r victoms of media. by Rs Sandhu
he is wonderful actor deols r always underrated boz they r not friendly with media he beaten amir khan so many times when their flims released on same day 1) gayal n dil 2) gatak n raja hindustani 3) gadar n lagaan he aslo has bollywood's biggest hit under his belt and dont forget that he also beaten shahrukh khan when asoka n indian released on same day
