I'm so excited about this movie. And the role of Lindsay seems so perfect for Johnny Depp. Just can't imagine how this book'll look like as movie, but I'm certain that it'll be great with Johnny and Amitabh, and Mira as director of course. I'm sure that neither Mira nor Johnny nor Bachchan will ever read this, but in case they do: good luck!! And keep being optimistic about it, even if it seems to be a too big project at times. It's gonna work out more than well.
It was great to hear that the epic book is going to be made into a film. But then I wondered if justice could be done to the book... but with Mira Nair directing it and eternal actors like Johnny Depp acting in it, I am sure the film will be as good. JUst cant wait!!!
I think this is one of a kind and a dream come true. To see an Indian director deal with such a story with an India connection. It can only get better from here. Good Luck Mira. And Love ya John.
Of course its gonna be an overwhelming experience to watch Depp & AB match wits on a single platform. My only suggestionto all the fans waiting for the movie to unfold - read the novel first. You can't afford to miss out on the multi-layered narrative of the nove, which will distinctly be missing in the movie, as Nair also admits to some extent...
eager to see how the west sees this movie. but am sure every indian would like it. Have not read the book, but what i gather is that every person has two sides the good and the bad. lets how the movie shapes up.....
