First of all, I want to say most of the first half of the movie was entertaining.
This movie intentianally and incorrectly makes people of other culture look bad so that they can say good things about India and induce adrenaline in their audiance. One more movie that does not respect individual freedom and supports parental abuse.

there is no message. It's so sad that some people get wrong messages from such movies. Read books written by people who have been through a lot in their own life if you want to get real messages. It's sad that some indians need to depend on such movies to feel proud of themselves and all these movies say is if you are indian, you can't be free.
I just saw this movie last night and I thought it was great! I truly felt that finally there is a film, even with all its exagerations, that related to some of us that that reside outside of India. Katrina's accented hindi totally reminded me of many of my friends if not myself. Akshay Kumar was perfect for the role, I do feel though, they could have done without Upen Patel, and possibly found another individual to play the part of Charlie Brown. Apart from that, I felt that the movie flowed really well, it did not drag the least bit. I especially enjoyed the comedy bits-they were well placed within the movie and were not over done. Overall, it was a great movie that I definitely can and will see again. I must also politely diagree with Rediff in its giving of a mere 2 1/2 stars. I would personally give it a 3 1/2 or even 4 so do watch!

How can u rediff people make such unethical and bad use of power of media.
I am a follower of rediff reviews and others too. At times the reviews are perfectly on the spot, at times totally biased in favour of someone, and at times totally biased against someone.
Feels so bad to read comment like "Akshay Kumar doesn't quite look 'all there'." Its quite obvious now to all readers of rediff, that rediff has gone totally personal and writes highly overrated reviews for some brands promoted by it, like srk & all. Just for ur own info, go through the no. of comments on this front criticising rediff for so much overrating of srk and underrating of real star like aksay. Reason. he doesnt care for biased media people like rediff.
If i give benefit of doubt to rediff, saying its not obvious then the individual reviewers let rediff down. check no. of other reviews of this movie & reactions & comments of people coming out of movie, u'll know the difference.
Anyways, watever rediff does, before this message gets removed, let me advice to all readers, this movie is really a 3.5 or 4 star movie and derserves atleast one watch for any audience. Akshay in the movie is atleast 4 star, if not more.
Forget about rediff's comments, do watch the movie & ENJOY

i know i may get a few reactions for writing this. agreed srk is more popular & has more fan following than srk. but actually akshay is one of the best at present. i personally feel he is far ahead than srk as an actor but the reason srk is ahead of him today is the buttering of higher class producers & directors and reason akshay is not in top banners is lack of that ability (or inability, as may sound appropriate). however, without the luxury of top class banners like srk has, akshay really deserves a huge applause for wat he has done / is doing & will do.
when piyush said akshay tops over shahrukh, he probably meant, akshay has acted better than srk, which i individually feel is correct.
however, its all personal opinion, u may have different, dont jump to byte piyush for saying this (or me after this message)

i agree...u r jealous of srk...akshay kumar toh srek ke nail ke bhi barabar nahi hai...i agree the movie is good...but plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...dont compare srk with akshay...

plz its my request to every1 plz dont compare any1 with any1.got me.akshay is a big star n shahrukh is definitely a bigger star.but i still like akshay more than any1 else.so its very subjective and not objective.anyway movie was great coz it has akshay n katrina in it.
Watched the movie yesterday and loved it throughly ..fulltoo timepass.. Akshay is dashing & the role is made for him to the T.. Kats is pretty & brings fresh air in the movie(& in the industry ageing with Aish, Rani, Prety).. and no one (even Cricket)can stop it from being the biggest blockbuster of the Year..Jog Singh
absolutely loved the movie..Akki is amazingly brilliant..this performance by akki eclipse any of his previous ones..A MUST WATCH!!! one of the best movies in a long time!!
Good family Film after long time ... It's a must see for everyone...Akshaykumar & Katrina Good Pair...lots of funny moments good songs... It's a must see for everyone. Excellent is all I can say.
