I just sat down while my friends were playing it, and ended up glued to the screen , until the very last minute ! truely awesome movie ....very touching, with a stark sense of Reality ! truely differnt !
I saw this movie because there wasnt much of a choice left on one of my flights. But i have to admit that this was one of the better movies doing rounds. This is definetely not in the same class as blood diamond or the pursuit of happiness. But still this movie has an excellent storyline and in the end does manage to convey a meaningful message about life and its ups and downs. Definetely a must watch.

Waiting for those abusive comments for Raja. That is the more entertaining part of these reviews. Btw, read more abt "300" and found that the movie was declared one of the dumbest ones. In any case could not dare to watch 300 people successfully fighting an army of 1 million people...means 1 man fighting app. 3500 villains?? Poor Mithun and Dharam paaji...even in your hay-days, you're fighting 10-20 goondas...hmmm...probably you din't have access to all modern computer aided film making techniques those days...anyway...another thought...could James Bond do this???....who knows....may be in his next movie. However, its amazing that the line between a computer game and movie, which once used to be an art, has become so blurred. Btw, did I say abt the historical linkage of "300", this historical was is true as Mahabharata....he he..

300 is the biggest hit of the year so far - $130m in just the US, perhaps twice that across the world. It leads the US box office for the 3rd week in a row - check movies.yahoo.com.
There must be comments across the web about Titanic and Gladiator too that they are stupid. That did not stop millions from watching and enjoying them. The only true test of a commercial film's watchability is its collections.

brother , 300 din't fight a million in the open field....they took a strategic position between cliffs where all of the enemies can't surround them...so persians had to attack in small groups...

Obviously it was 'strategic', coz it was shown in a hollywood movie. Had it been shown in bollywood, adjective would have been 'ridiculous'.

I suggest you'd better read something about battle of thermopylae. Maybe watch the history channel documentary on it. you'll know something about spartan strategy.

dude..wat u said is right...... but but but it all depends on the way it is shown on the screen. wen it was shown in such an appealing way in 300.. it always depends on how the director carries it in the minds of audience be it holly or bollywood.
Little Miss Sunshine. A movie about a little girl, who is not that attractive, not that beautiful, not that intelligent, but, non the less is made to believe that she is. A movie about a boy, who is so much determined to join the Air Force that he has vowed not to speak until he reaches there. Ya, 1 thing i forgot to mention about him, he hates Everybody. A movie about a guy, who is a gay, and cant take the many on-coming pressures, fails at every thing he does, and decides to commit suicide. Well, he fails at that too. A movie about a couple, the husband is showing that he will never give up on any thing. The wife, actually, the wifes role is not that defined, its just that she tries to hold every body together, which I think is more important than any thing else. A movie about an old person, who is grandfather to the little girl. A been-there-done-that kinda person. Smokes pot, and discusses every thing that he did. I mean, every thing.
A movie about the family comprising of the above mentioned Personalities.
On the whole, a totally jacked family, which is about to break-down any movement now. Over and above, its just the question of when, since they also face some great downs too.
Little Miss Sunshine, its a movie about how normal humans, aam aadmi, manage to track their lives in the most dreaded of the situations. A great satire comedy. The movie makers have managed to hook the most talented actors, at the cheapest rates, of course, thus increasing the profits of the movie many-fold.
The background & character buildup of the movie is just unbeatable and one of the most brilliant works I have seen yet.
All-in-all a must watch. Just one word is enough. Awesome!
