This is a very great book, one of the best, because it deals with deep issues and and is a true story. As an Aussie / Kiwi it touches that part of us not covered in many books at all. That crazy, giving, flawed, brave, fight all, but honest character of the Antipodeans. And does so in depth. It cannot be played well by someone like Depp. Hes too into Depp. Hes also not tough. He cannot be imagined in fight scenes with big men, gouging out eyes. He will bring in Crazy Jack Sparrow to bulk it out looking to expand the genuine good Aussie crazy into Depp crazy. Pirates of the Caribbean does Bombay. No I wont see this film even though its based on my favourite book. What a crying shame.
no actor on earth can beat BigB. and please dont insult acting, while calling SRK an actor.. he is Joker of century. does not now any acting... only can work in love story based movies that also with support of karan johar's direction, farha khan's coreography and good songs..

i am really shocked to see how come some members are questioning the credibility of amitabh??
they dont know that before mohabbatein, SRK was bankrupt as a producer in Phir Bhi Dil hai Hinduistani....he himslef was not credible thing at box office.......
agreed amitabh's return was not great but still he gave successful movies like "Major Saab" and "bade miytan chhote miyan" before mohabbatein.......also before retirement in his first inning he gave "Hum and "Khuda Gawah" as successful movies........
Amitabh gave many successful movies after his return like "Baghbaan", "EkRishta", "Aaankhein", "Kaante", "Khakee", "K3G", "Sarkar", "Black", "Waqt", "Bunty n Bubli".......at the age of 65 he is the only actor who is trusted by art and dark film directors like RGV, Govind Nihalani, RKS, Vikram bhatt, SLB etc. and at the same time masala movie directors like VVC, Aditya chopra, KJ, .......and offcorse KBC which was made popular by BIGB and this oppurtunist SRK trying to takle advantage of already popular KBC .......he cannot make a seperate new game as popular as KBC but he is already riding on the success of KBC made popular by BigB.........

All these films are multistar films....and what kind of extra ordinary acting is AB doing? He is an average actor like every stars in Bolly...
Did u watch nishabd... thats his maximum...and he got only 2 or 3 expressions throughout the film.. and he done badly... tones of glycerine...overhyped sentiments... etc...
Ekalavya..... dont say again that this is the best performance by an indian actor... S******t
How black, hum, shehansha, lal badhsha, major saab, ek ajnabee...... long list...became the films having the best performance from AB....none of his performance is extraordinary... he is good.. some times.... u peoples r giving him extra publicity... why.....................

My dear,Before Mohabbatein it was SRK wha had given 3 flops in a row & if You had been in Theaters ton watch Mohabbatein you would have seen that people were clapping foer Amitabh not Sharukh,Amitabh is the only star in the history of Hindi cinema to have given at least 1 hit every year for 14 years continuosly & 3 or more hits ia year twice in his career.It is a record, & you can pick up any film magazine since 1973, that his flops have made more money than others' hit films. It was Jeetendra who said Amitab is 1-10 & only after 10 we all count. It is again a fact that when he was hosting KBC, all the night shows used to be empty. You can verify thease facts with any national newspaper.

That good for nothing fellow Abhishek has finally cut his hair which is a big relief for all of us and atleast we can bare him now else he looks like gorilla or chimpanze.He is a big zero without his father any in which he is a zero .He looks like a giraffe or camel.He is a big loser and flopshow and doesn't need any attention

if looking good is all that matters for actors, then Morgan freeman or Samuel L Jackson would have been long gone from Cinema. I am not comparing Morgan freeman with Abhishek bachan. but just saying that being handsome isn't just enough to be an actor :)
Look at al pacino, he is short, doesn't have blue eyes or big muscles to show off.. but look at how he literally conquered Hollywood with his amazing performance.

I guess Amitabh is as bad as SRK...both of them portray themselves on screen and not the character which they are supposed to...SRK aka Raj and Amitabh aka Inspector Vijay...thats what they are in every muvi...regardless of the character

am no Shahrukh Fan ... Shahrukh Khan is even worse than Bacchan when it comes to showing some acting skills .. so he is already out of contention .. but cmon Mira u can do better than Bachchan .. there is still some talent left in the bollywood acting fraternity ..
