She is not good looking. Just having light skin does not make a person beautiful. I know, I grew up in America surrounded only by white people. In America this woman would be considered below average!!!

What do you want to say? Most of the Americans are good looking? Is this what you have noticed while growing up in America?
Or may be I am worng, you are talking of South India, Brazilians!!!

In any case...its a discussion on good looking...I kno you personally..you must not discuss..you know how you look...

I disagree that women here (NY) look better. But they are definitely better draped. But there are other factors to consider too. But back home I know moms would prefer giving time to their families (not nuclear, spoon feeding husbands, taking up a job to make ends meet, no ready to eats, scornful eyes of strangers ) than spending endless hours and (money) at a beauty saloon.

I live in United States too sorrounded by white people. My comment is not based on her light skin, her facial features make her look good. I dont think that we need to know what America thinks of her because you have pointed out that just having light skin does not make a person beautiful.

but generally speaking, males go crazy for fair skin. i do, but dont have an explantion. thats the reason here in US(Im from US), i find most women attractive. not because they have good features, but decent features and fair (white!) skin.

Exactly my thoughts, Radhika Ravi. I do not understand how we indians can be affected by what americans would think of someone! In my opinion, west have some weired concept about beauty, their obesession with pencil thin figure is simply disgusting!

With or without a lighter skin, kareena is gorgeous. Simply love her :)

So true ! I once saw her interview with simi and she was horrible and was going on and on about how beautiful she is .

She ruined omkara for me. If it's had'nt been for her kapoor connections she would not have made it this far.

Yeah, that seems to be the general take on her (with regards to the ego) when I ran into her however in an interview scenario she retained her due level of humility. I chatted with her for an hour or so later that evening that the supposed ego was not so predominant in my experience.
