gr8 album

"Ulakilae azhaki begins with the maestro humming the tune"....this is wrong...the song is Konjum Konjum...

i loved all the songs...ilayaraja is still young raja...all songs have repetitive value...especially Oelae enge vanthaan & Konjam konjam...this album is definitely ilayarja's new best...

Illayaraja rocks
by shiva kumar on Mar 16, 2007 01:11 PM

Mayakannadi songs are good..Illayaraja rocks once again...I hope the movie lives up to the expectations of the music ... because in the recent past, IR has been providing excellent music as well as the background music, but it is disappointing when the movie flops...Ex..'Shiva 2006', Mumbai Express, Madhu, etc

music?

What the heck? Title shows the music is not best of ilayaraja, but in the end gives 3 starts. Whether the reviewer has forgetten his title or his review before giving his rating?

Also, to add Seshadre Ramakrishnan's comments:
I would like to question the knowledge of the reviewer on music or specifically IR's music. Usually people tend to compare ones album with his own earlier hits. for ex if you compare this with Azhagi or so, Azhagi became super hit only after seeing the movie and the situations...That should be the way for good music. It should blend with the movie and chars. IR does not have any peer up there in these kind of work. HE IS SIMPLY BEYOND ALL THESE silly talks! Pls refrain from reviewing his works if you do not have sufficient knowledge about music.

even though the songs are good, we can always retrace it to his previous recent songs. my view is that IR is a musical library and it is the reponsibility of the director to extract (get)the best books (songs) possible. I am yearning to see 80's IR back who breaks all the usual rules and norms by delivering his creative inputs.

If a music not considered to be best of Illayaraja is given 3 stars, you should understand that best music of Illayaraja would have been given 4.5-5 stars. It just shows the talent of Illayaraja. If you cant understand things, better atleast refrain from posting sarcastic comments on others
