This man is only a xerox machine and if you watch his movies sequentially you will find that he reuses scenes and background music scores from earlier movies in newer ones. There is no call to call this man a genius or even a good film maker as he has nothing original to show. All he does is copy hit movies from other languages wholesale or mixes up a couple of stories with scenes from a few more and uses a blender/mixer formula for the final product. The fact that his films are counted as hits in Hindi simply testifies to the low average aesthetic sensibility of the Hindi movie viewership.
All the best for "Bhool Bhaliya"..The original movie (1993 released) in Malayalam was directed by Fazil; not Priyadarshan. It was a huge hitllLater it got remade in Kannada and recently in Tamil(Chandramukhi)..All these were mega hits.. Hope success repeats in Bollywood as well..
laugh is all what we want from our life.we toil hard to get a smile in our face,in our child face,to make happy to our beloved one's,ur presentation is really funny,we feel relaxed in these full tensed life. laugh amd make all laugh is the motive of life.you are a perfectionist.keep going..

His movies are remakes of Malayalam made by other Directors, His own remake of His malayalam Movies, Kilukam (Muskurahat) & Thalavattom (Kyon Ki) both failed at Box office, Hera Pheri, gardish, yeh tera ghar, yeh mera ghar were all produced and directed by other Film Makers, wonder if Mr Priyadarshan gives due credit to Original Story writers in Malayalam.

ok i too agree then why didn't these superhit directors remake their film and make them a hit... sangeeth sivan, thampi kannamthanam, rajeev anchal etc have tried their luck in bollywood... what happened ? where r they now ? if u can't accept somebody its okay... but never discourage them... he is making lot of hits and that is helping the film industry a lot... so many people are living with that.. dont forget it... do u know how difficult it is to create a hit film this man is giving back to back hits... PRIYADARSHAN YOUR FILMS ARE NOT CLASSICS AND NOT GREAT... STILL AUDIENCE LOVE YOUR MOVIES ... ME TOO...
