The rich are welcome, but can't break the law.
by on Mar 08, 2007 02:50 PM

India welcomes all with open arms. No one objects to the dazzling Liz and Dashing Arun coming to India and spending on a lavish wedding.

However, being rich is not a license to break the law. If there is a High Court ruling against constructing a stage on a beach, the same law applies to them as anyone else.

They are rich and let them spend, it is their money, they are spending money in india, so why are we jealous? Even Laxmi mittal spent so much money for her daughter's wedding in France, were the french people jealous????? noooo, If rich and celebrities are having their functions in India, it is good for our Hotel and tourism industry, we stand to earn money.

Indians are Jealous
by rishi bhardwaj on Mar 08, 2007 03:35 AM

Indians are jealous of Nayar-Liz Extravagant Marriage Preparations, and want to spoil their party.... if we cannot spend on teh marriages atleast let others DO....

THis would atleast earn some good BRead and Butter for the workers, artist, and other people involved in hosting this Event.
Think from that angle...
Now after Demolishing their Stage, what would Liz think of Indian Culture and Mentality...
It would create a BAd impression....

SO GUYS IN this age of Globalization, lets Welcome All and Earn from their Tourism and Grand Event Hosting Parties

Why do we need such a bash ceremony while so many of us are finding it difficult to run daily life

By that token - why have any wedding celebrations at all ???? What is lavish to you may be just an ordinary event for someone else. Even spending Rs 10 lakhs on a wedding may seem extravagant to someone that earns only Rs 2000 a month - so perhaps all weddings should involve just a 10 minute "event" at the Registrar's office.

everybody is living their own life . rich people will spend, poor people will not spend. Every human being has right to live the life in the way they like. They are not committing any crime.
