friends, this is no exagerration, but 100% true. this could get into WORLD RECORD in a few weeks' time. have a look at the mind-boogling collections at two of the main theatres screening the Tamil and Telugu versions of SIVAJI respectively.
SIVAJI (Tamil) at SATYAM CINEMAS, CHENNAI : -------------------------------------------
So far SIVAJI was played at two of its main screens, 1200 capacity Satyam and 800 capacity Santham. During weekends, apart from these, 6 more shows are played at ALL the 6 screens during morning.
Till now, all shows have been houseful inspite of raised ticket sales.
The Gross collections at this complex alone stands at about 1.24 crores till now !!!! If the crowd strenght doesn't decrease much, the final GROSS in the coming weeks could be as high as 3 crores !!! could be the highest collection of a single movie at a multiplex.
Sivaji(Telugu) at DEVI 70mm, Hyderabad: ---------------------------------------
Here for the first two weeks, all shows in the 1200 seater theatre were houseful and into 5the third week, except for the morning show (70% full), all the other three shows are full. The gross BO collections stand at about 30 lakhs, could touch 1 Crore in the long run !!!
Meanwhile, Mayajaal multiplex is still screening 25 shows a day at chennai outdoors. Abirami Mall at the chennai main area, has now started screening SIVAJI in all their 4 screens due to public demand. Earlier they screened in three of their four screens

Do you need a Ticket in Devi 70mm Hyderabad.. mail me up dude. They are freely available. Why dont you check out the online booking status at mayajaal.. most of the tickets thru online are available. What world record u r taking about? There are N number of Telugu movies which collected more than 1 crore rupees share in a single theatre not just in Hyderabad.. but compartively small towns like Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam. "Nuvve Kavali" is filmed with a overall budget of 35 lakhs and collected a share of 1.4 Crores in single theatre at Vishakapatnam @ year 2001. Enough of hyping for this utter crap movie. Its ending up as disaster in A.P Just cant imagine dead Rajini turning alive after say a hours time. Mighty crap..

Go to any theatre in hyd other than Devi 70 mm and look around the crowd for Shivaji. Also, go to cities like Vijayawada,Vishakapatnam,Tirupati, Kurnool, Guntur etc and look at the crowd for Shivaji. They are pleading people to go to the movie. lol.Thats the fate of the movie

Excuse me, even now into the 3rd week, Devi 70mm, Prasads, IMAX, PVR are all going full shows every day. And this movie was released in a record 34 screens in Hyd in the first week, its natural for the drop of occupancy after the heavy opening in the first 2 weeks. This doesn't mean the movie is a flop. it means, already enough number of people have seen it to make it a super-hit.
Tamil version, even now going more than 100% is a different issue altogether :))

You have proved yourself, that you have ZERO knowledge on Super Star !!!!
Sivaji was not just released in 18 main theatres in Chennai city, but also in about 27 side theatres (like Rohini complex, Chorpet Vetri, Mayajaal, Prarthana Drive-in) in the city suberbds, making it a grand total of abot 45 theatres in the whole of CHENNAI metro area !!!
And fools like you, should know that it was also released in close to 30 theatres (including Kokatpalli, Santhosh NAgar, and other outers) in HYDERABAD METRO area.
second point, this may be rajnis 4th movie (not 3rd as u reported, another foolishness act) in 8 years, but he has made them stand and take notice in the entire country, (Baba flopping also made a big news as for the first time, distributors lost some money which Rajni payed back), but your chiru, still makes remakes (Shankardada MBBS, SDZ, Tagore etc) and acts is super flop movies like Jai CHiranjeeva, Andarivadu, and spoils the name of good directors like AR murugadoss, in STALIN, by ghost-directing the crappy second half.
He is a megastar to only a big section of AP people, but Rajni is a superstar in whole of south (if not why his movies run in KA, KE, AP) and now reaching northies as well with SIVAJI :)

As long back as in 1995, Big Boss of Chiru was released in 30 theatres across Hyderabad! And in 2007 the so called 250 crore movie of the super star has been released in 18 theatres in Chennai. That too with the stellar combination of Shankar; that too after a gap of two years and being just the third movie of the super star in 8 years. Do you call this super stardom? Do you call this craze? It cuts a really sorry picture of the super star.

Shvaji is a confirmed flop in Andhra. Although it got very good openings, the collections started tumbling form Day 5 in almost all places. The film is a big letdown in most towns,well its doing OK in Hyderabad city. It would surely end up as a loss venture for the distributors.

If majority of Tamil movies comes under 2nd Grade or 3rd Grade category, majority of Telugu movies are 4th Grade. The Intellectual level of Telugu Movies is very low and majority of Telugu movies are only made only for herald superstardom of the actor and also to sexually tickle the audience. Majority of Telugu movies are soft porn

Chiru is outdated , he has to become selective, do a movie a year like Rajni. Also should not rely on remakes. How can he be a megastar when churning out crap like Mrugaraju, Andarivaadu or even Jai Chiranjeeva. He should have had Indra , tagore and then Stalin (which was just OK0, then he could have justified his megastar status. Also he needs to portray more mature characters instead of trying to the young handsome bachelor which does not work with his puffed face and big belly. There are younger stars like Mahesh Babu and Prabhas to give him a run for the money.Already there is news that Shankardada Zindabad is likely to flop..why do this to your fans? His ego led him to be dropped from the cast of the Mani Rathnam classic Dalapathi. (He was cast in Arvind swamy's role but wanted Rajni's.)How could he forget the tremendous impact he made opposite Rajni in ranuvaveeran ( I think it was dubbed as Kali in Telugu)? In fact post Gharana Mogudu , chiru has hardly done any solid acting like he did earlier with Swayam Krushi etc.
he is just the person who makes cash on the craze he got from people. blood bank and eye bank are just an extra cutting to sympathy from people. all his movies in recent times were utter flops. i dont know why people give unnecessary, ridicuous attention to him. he just wants money, he dont wanted to make good movies at all.. he dont encourage variety in stories, neither other telugu heros. they just want all the bloody build ups, fights, songs. they dont need good and original stories.
chiru is the biggest fool to make the remakes of munnabhai series. i dont knw wht he thinks of himself. cant he encourage new writers, new story plots??
everyone says he is self made man.. is he? if he isnt a son-in-law of "sri allu ramalingaiah", would he be in such a position? no, never. he got good movies and clicked as a hero only after his marraige.

Sivaji is a big Utterflop disaster In Andhra Pradesh. No distributor is going to recover his money. Bet on it. A big dud in Uttarandhra with more than 1.5 crores loss, 1 crore loss in East and West Godavari, 60 Lakhs loss in Guntur territory. 1.5 crores loss in Ceded, Nizam may enter into safe zone without profits. The 3rd week 50% attendance is bcos of Shankar's reputation in A.P. He didnot disappoint with his earlier movies. Compare Aparichithudu (Anniyan) collections in Andhrapradesh with this crap. He lost all his reputation with this utter crap movie. Operation Duryodana a small budget 1 crore rupee movie is faring better and fetched 2 crore rupees profit than this bumper hyped Rajini Shankar AR Rehman AVM viagras.

Not trying to offend Rajini fans, the fact is that Shivaji is a flop in Andhra. In only Telangana region in and around Hyderabad, the movie might be a safe venture without profits. In all the other places,its a loss venture and is a flop.

Sivaji is made esp for rajni fans and for the Tamil people. THis movie running in AP is in itself an added bonus !!!
tell me, how many top telugu star's movies get dubbed in tamil and create a sensation.
I remember Mahesh Babu's Murari in tamil ran for 1 week in Trichy and Madurai. His movie Arjun , dubbed in tamil ran may be for 2 days. Chiru's movies are not dubbed after he lost his market in TN due to some illogical and stupid movies. The only city where telugu movies have some response is chennai, as its a metro with a sizable telugu crowd.
Now compare this to Tamil heros, almost all of them have created a market ( except vijay,ajith) in AP. Vikram, Surya, Vishal , apart from the titans Rajni and Kamal have a huge market in AP. Even simbu is dubbing his movies of late .
some tamil speaks of rajni as if there is no other actor..some gulty speaks of chiru as if there is no other actor on earth...when will u idiots learn to become mature and treat them as normal film stars?????
