RE:Rajni is the best
by mudit saxena on Jun 21, 2007 01:47 AM
Rajni is a great actor but our mental and IQ levels stop at rajni. We like a rustic uncoth human being with low IQs pary him like a god which no one else does inthe world. We need to grow up and try to gain some dignity in this world where we are worth sh*t at the moment. We are looked upon as weired people by the world. We need to change. We have to stop idolizing an actor like a 5 year old. Come on people Rajni is just a human being. Why do south Indians behave like nuts for him? I respect him as an actor but I can never worship any actor. If I did then that wud mean I am a loon, bird-brain. So, those who worship him are loony clowns to me.

Hi mudit Dude, He just asked you to watch the movie and enjoy. No one asked you to start worshipping him.
With all due respect to Mr. Kiran plz shut the hell up!!! What is so "UNINDIAN" about reading good literature??? Dont you drink coke/wear levis????There is a very good reason for JKR making so much money ( which in the least is none of ur goddamn business). She was a struggling writer n a single mother before she actually made it big. She didnt have godfathers to jumpstart her career. Its solely her creativity n writing prowess which got her noticed in the first place. If you havent read a HP book then u are missing something.JKR style of writing n originality is amazing. STOP BEING SUCH A LOSER N TRYING TO SHOW WHAT TO DO TO BE AN INDIAN!!!!YOU NEED TO GROW UP.

With all the respect to Mr. Kiran "Kiran! you son of a Bi**h' :) sorry, jus kidding. Anyways, HP rules and our Indian fictitios characters suck just as much as they possibly can. We show pains, poverty and struggle of Poor Indians in our stories is some way which nobody gives a damn to. HP stories are original and well thought. No Indian cud have written such a storyline, including me.

hi riya...how many novels of shakespeare did u read.. and i dont drink pesticides for your info....and by the way its u who read the HP not me.. so its clear who needs to grow up!!
hi, reading the various messages posted on the topic, i would only add by saying, ppl..its a book of fiction. irrespective of the author or the language or the hype of advertisement, read it as a source of joy and entertainment. HP is a work of fiction, read it and if you like it keep a copy and if you don't then move on to the another book. why critisize a author for making money or being succesfull. A good book is always worth reading for what joy it gives. Like how music has no boundaries or languages, books are the same. Grow up guys and enjoy reading no matter what it is...Kalyan
In movie "GURU" there was a dialoge that "When ever people started talking about you then you should know that you are become Popular". The case is same with Harry Potter too....Manish Kumar
hahahahahahahaha!! seriously !! have u eva read harry potter Mr. Indian Ravi Kiran ??? for real ?? especially book 5!! and u think indian fiction is better than HP!! mate?? Charles Dickens isn't better than JKR!! so wut if she's getting rich? she's rich cuz she's creative "obviously!" , if it is not so good then tell me y billions of ppl read and buy the HP books and everything that is related to HP? mate u need some serious help and if ur a writer of a fiction "indian" book and it didn't sell. don't be a hater and go on ppl who sell great books.!!
hi frenz..dont u think harry is being given undue importance.. arent there better fictions than harry and that lady rowling makes money like anything and we indians buy the book for any cost..i wondered people were in q from morning 4 to let the shop open to buy the book.. this is ridiculuous y r we giving so much importance to this stupid fiction...there are many hindi fictions and novels faar better than this harry.. arent we spoiling our kids.. buying a harry potter book is a prestige issue now rather tha liking... c'mon give a break guys.. come out of this stupid notion... cant u see in the process u r making rowling richer and richer for whatever filth she writes..wake up frenz...lets be indians!!

Mr Ravi Kiran How will kids get spoilt if they read Harry Potter books.Stop acting silly and passing judgements. It is entirely our choice as to wat we want to read.

This is one of the stupidest justifications I read! Mr. Kiran, probably english is not one of your stronger points, but as an Indian, thats perfectly ok. English is not our mother tongue. But please refrain from making such immature comments. Your point that there may be better children's literature in Hindi, may be a good point. The marketing hype for HP is also sometimes too much in the face. But discrediting the author without reading her work,is not the correct way.An yes, a good piece of literature does not have any political boundaries.

so u r not an indian susmita...i never asked to read hindi literature... my comments are understood only by grown up people..

A good work does not have political boundaries. People worldwide are reading the works of Tagore. Ravi, it can only be said that u will have to read HP before understanding why people like it. There have been many other good characters in the west as well, but the plot of HP is very very engrossing. And it's not just for kids. As for the price tags, no modern Indian literature is cheaper than harry potter. and chandrakanta might be the only book that could come close to being as thrilling as HP. So better go to the footpath wala in ur town and buy the books. Waiting for the 7th edition. patiently. And hope harry doesn't die.

wonderful Mr. Kiran. you r absolutely right. we are hear to give our children a western world not our culture and these people you cant argue with coz they are born western.
RE:harry harry harry.. wht the hell is it
by mudit saxena on Jun 21, 2007 01:33 AM
No we don't have good fictious stars like harry. We have got 'Rama, the village boy' etc. stupid looking characters. Well, since we are Indians, we don't have a good IQ to think of anything good. So, we move to the characters from the west coz they rock. We as a community suck hard when it comes to be cool or doing someting cool. PS: I love HP series

mudit...ever heard about indian folk tales called panchatantra and Jataka tales...i do not hate/love HP but dont agree with your point that india doesnt have good writers with strong messages. HP is very creative but hardly any messages for children except good wins over evil.

"GOOD WINS EVIL" is on its own a very great message.Isnt 1 single good message enuf??Or evry line of the book should convey a message?
