I seriously think that Aamir should have had sense enough not to answer this question on the farmland acqusition 'controversy'. He should have stuck to talking about Lagaan dvd release and his new films. Look at the amount of hate-posts he is inviting on himself. You will never find the media-savvy SRK ever talking about his legally questioned Bandra home expansion [an item that occasionally pops up on tv news]. I am not questioning anybody's actions, neither SRK's nor Aamir's, nor even that of the beleagured AB Sr. But let such an item appear on rediff, ibnlive or some such news portal that invites reader feedback-- and the knives are out for the celebrity unlucky enough to be under scrutiny. There is very little reasoned talk on message boards, simply a lot of billious babble from bigoted hotheads waiting to pull down erstwhile idols. More than reason, there seems to be a lot of jealousy and crude talk, thanks to the anonymity provided by the net, especially from people taking refuge behind user ids.
And so on this board you have Aamir, generally known to be a reclusive actor of few screen appearances[whether ads or films],a sincere film personality-- being called a liar, a terrorist and even worse. Why? Simply because like many Indians, known and unknown, the man is trying to save up and invest for his future, somethig all Indians, resident or non-resident, rich or poor, are trying to do legally, without inviting trouble. At least Aamir has bought land under his ow

Continued: At least Aamir has bought land under his own name[as one saw on tv]; he has not fudged records or looked for loopholes and has said that he is in the clear. Let him be. Message boards should not be turned into kangaroo courts where biases rather than reasoning hold sway. It was shocking to read people writing stuff like 'let the Gujarat police handle him'.

Also, I find it ironical that so many people have missed a major part of the interview where he talks about his upcoming movie and also of the other masterpiece he produced some time back. People seem more inclined for posting hate comments for his last answer, which looked more like a footnote to me other than anything else. Rediff is also to be blamed for this - for publishing the article with such a misleading headline. Decently long interview and they only get to find the "Farmer issue" to add as headline. Well, shame on rediff too.

In a new and long interview on indiafm.com, Aamir has spoken in detail about the 'farmer controversy' and other matters. The interview can be accessed at
terr*rist that is what he is. The way he went out of the way to support Os*ma, and the terror*sts in Afgh*nistan and Ir*q more than proves it. People like these should be banished from India. He'll probably last about a week in his beloved Afghanistan!
