Price of a ticket in US generally hovers around the $10 mark during the first week for an Indian movie (SRK, Aamir or anyone). For Sivaji it was $22! And similar was the case in UK! Sivaji is estimated to gross Rs.70 crores in Tamil Nadu alone. Made at an estimated cost of Rs.80 crore, almost double the entire cost (Rs.150 crore) could be recovered from ticket collections alone. Not to forget that there are the music rights, TV rights, cable TV rights, DVD rights, etc. Sivaji collected £1,68,603 from 12 screens with the week-end average screen collection of £14,050. This is the highest per screen average for any movie in the UK so far in 2007. Now you know why all this hype and hoopla? And does he do it in style? Gets the crowds to the theatres, revives theatre-going culture in many families and keeps the distributors ecstatic so that they wait with bated breath for his next movie. And this is what a superstar is meant to do. And the way Rajni does it, there hasn't been any other to match him. Like Vivek says, "Six ku approm seven da, Sivaji ku approm evan da". The matter is who has the mass and more fans..AB has 18 fanclubs but Rajini has 35000 in a single state ..whoz renumeration is big? whose movies are money spinners?? u make a rajini movie with 10 crores the profit will be 100 crores... And only billa and thee are copied from Big B movies.. he has also many good movies like arulirundhu arubadhu varai, Raghavendra,paayum puli etc .. Even bollywood copied many movies from tamil.. is terenaam, suryavamsam,60% of anil kapoor's movies are copies of bhagyaraj movies.Even ur latest movie Train is a copy of Pachaikili muthucharam, but the difference is we made the movie in TN and bolywood made it abroad.. And one more example is Akharirasta. First Kamal did that movie in Tamil then Amitabh did that in Hindi. You are comparing him as PM. You know he is also like our PM dummy. no use. Our CM's are far better than that dummy PM. tell one good thing that Amitab has done for PPL. I will tell 100 good things rajani has done for his own ppl. 1. he constructed Raghavendra swamy Temples. 2. he will do marriages for poor ppl every year and giev them all the things that are need for satrting the family. 3. If any body goes to him that he needs some help he will immediately do that. Tell one good thing that Amitab has done for whole nation as you are considering him as PM. Rajani never cheats the govt to get some land that he is a farmer. Rajani is down to earth man. Though he is super star he lives so simple life unlike amitabh.
