bookwala heroics again

i consistently read reviews all over the net.i do not neccesarily agree with all.But mr bookwala(i personally have nothing against him)gets the worst reviews from the readers of net reviews.i tend to agree that his reviews eventhough may be correct(everyone has his/her own opinion),but certainly are the most boring, filled with big english words and least interesting. He should read some famous reviewers and get an idea of what a critic must do.i just wish and hope,if rediff cant afford a good critic then let your others critics like mr sen do overtime and let mr bookwala take time off and attend some classes on how to, write interesting reviews.Remember we do not come to read his reviews.we come because we think rediff will churn out good reviews.we want to read reviews on rediff.Cant you guys hire a good critic?

Morons who don't understand simple English are welcome to refer to an online dictionary. Stop posting illiterate, moronic comments here. If you morons had sent your comments to a 'Letters to the Editor' column of a regular newspaper, it would have been thrown into the nearest dustbin.

LISTEN MR SHAKESPEAR,WE ILLITERATE,MORONIC ,READERS OF REDIFF REVIEWS,WHO STAY IN A COUNTRY NAMED INDIA,AND SO NOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH BEG TO DIFFER WITH YOUR MORONIC VIEWS.YOU SEE WE DO UNDERSTAND ENGLISH OR WE WOULD NOT HAVE LOGGED ON TO READ THESE REVIEWS.IT IS NOT THE KNOWLEDGE,OF GOOD WORDS BUT HOW YOU USE THEM OR MORE CORRECTLY PLAY WITH THEM MAKE A GOOD CRITIC.PLEASE GO AND READ THE REVIEW OF OCEANS THIRTEEN BY MR RAJA SEN,AND YOU WILL GET MY POINT.HIS ENGLISH IS NO LESS THAN YOUR HERO MR BOOKWALAS,BUT THE WAY HE PLAYS WITH WPRDS MAKE HIS REVIEWS SO INTERESTING AND FUN TO READ.OR FOR THAT MATTER EVEN THE TRAINS REVIEW IS MUCH BETTER WRITTEN THAN THIS ONE.BUT I ADMIT MP3'S REVIEW IS THE FIRST DECECNT REVIEW MR BOOKWALA HAS WRITTEN.

Jaidev,

Every movie has a premiere on Thursday evening and its not difficult to get in to that if you know few people there. That is the reason we get reviews on the movie by Friday morning. How correct the review is, is a different story altogether.

i agree there are premieres but then, the review would have come out soon after midnight, at least for one.

jaidev, this is the time that rediff has posted the article on the site and not the time at which tanveer completed the review.

"The film, in which sexist subjugation is countered with a shiny knife and Swastika art, falls flat on its face whilst trying to provide an estrogen-powered slice of sadistic pie in a perverted male dominated world."......

Hey, we got your meaning. The movie's yuk and every sentence that's been written seems to vent out your complete disgust at it. But I don't think you need to go overboard with big words. There is a fine line between using good english to demonstrate your control over the medium to sounding over-bombastic.

I dont get it, if u guys are not inspired by this guy's writing or his general understanding of cinema...why do u even bother to read it. Every individual is entitled to his/her own opinion, and similarly, every one has a particular writing style...
You have an option of not reading. Wat say?

PS: I'm no fan of this guy...just bored at work.

hello,
I don't disagree with Mr.Bookwala's review. He's most probably right given the cast and the storyline. My point is that that ONE sentence was just toooooo badly written. Thoughts and views can be conveyed using good english - good words - sometimes big - but you do not have a sentence so full of big words that the meaning of the sentence gets lost!

What do you mean by 'estrogen-powered slice of sadistic pie'?????

Btw, I normally quite like rediff reviews - unlike several other rediff readers I really enjoy Raja Sen's reviews. But sometimes I believe reviewers just go over the top in trying to conver some thoughts in convoluted sentences.

Rahul, Manikandan,
I think review is bad like reviewer. All rediff reviewers are literacy challenged. I would better tell you that this movie is hotter than Basic Instinct. Go and watch it, don't waste time.
