Eventhough Paruthiveeran and Veyil both had village as the story backdrop and lot of nativitity in them, for me Veyil was far better than Paruthi mainly bcos it carried a positive image eventhough it talked about Inferiority complex of a man. Paruthiveeran on the other hand, talked about same caste clashes and how despspite being complete waste of a man, some girl will still be chasing him.
Veyil was good coz bhavana was simply amazing.. her innocent face was a great plus point for the movie and to be precise she was on par with actor pashupathi..
I chanced on this movie around the time it was released. Tamil filmworld makes a lot a great movies apart from the standard masala.
This was one of the finest movies i had seen. Although I was born and grew up in a city and would frequently visit my remote native village, i could tremendously relate to this movie. A piece of art. Great Job!

Truly! Very well made movie that holds your attention till the last! One of the finest I have ever seen.
