Amitabh had die-hard fans as well. From 1975-1990 he was a phenomenon. Only he started playing father roles his craze may have come down. I remember when coolie was released in 1983 it was madness in cinemas up and down the country. I also remember people were ready to donate parts of their body to save him when he was injured. I agree that SRK and Salman have never had this following.
Many of you have mentioned about the BOLLYWOOD and South Indian films.. if South Indian film industries like TOLLYWOOD ,KOLLYWOOD,MALLUWOOD AND KANUWOOD are coming together and making a WOOD like SOULLYWOOD then there WONT be any BOOLY WOOD. Mind it. It would be beyond your imagination%u2026 In India, more films are made and released in south. Talent are always from south india%u2026 now in bollywoods hits are made by SOUTHINDIAN DIRECTORS like mani rathnam ,RGV and priyadarsan .apart from YASH RAJ PRODUCTION%u2026Where is other directors.. actually south Indian & Bangalian technicians and are the pillars of indian cinema.. that is why they are winning more national awards than any other Bollywood people.. only glitz are there for you ..Nothing else.. Apart from nasarudeen sha , nana pateker,SRK who else are your acting talents.. Renowned acting talents are like Kamalhassan , mohanlal ,mamooty ,Vikram rajanikanth , Chiranjeevi, to name to few are from SI%u2026Technician like MANI RATNAM, ADDOR GOPALAKRISHNAN, SHANKER, SABU CYRIL,SANTHOSH SIVAN are also from SI..and we are not HIRING ANY TALENTS ..JUST PRODUCING THEM Bollywood is BIG ZERO in front of SoullyWood.. Bollywood is there because SI are there to Watch it.. are you ready to Watch SOULLYWOOD..then more icons will produced from southindia like your AB,AK, RR

Janta has not posted 'kahike paan banaras' rajni copy on Youtube...I guess for obvious reasons ....ppl do watch the movie and you see how terribly he has performed in tht song....

After viewing all four videos, Amitabh's "Main hoon don" and "Ee hai bambai nagariya" are definitely better than Rajni's versions. Thanks for the YouTube links for comparing both actors.

Diamond - whats your problem...how dare you call people 'dumb' - do you even know any of us - i hope you mind your language.
Another thing - if you compare hindi scenes with tamil actors or vice-versa - most of the times the originals are better - i'm sure not AB nor SRK can en-act any famous scene of Rajni.
I have heard rajni is a far better human being and is it wrong to appreciate any goodness.

Hmm, comparing a regional film with self-called nationally-acclaimed industries makes southie movies even greater..

I'm a north indian staying at bangalore. I have never watched a tamil movie in my life but I heard Rajnikant is a very genuine and down-to-earth person unlike the hypocrite AB. If my friends are kind enough to translate a bit, I will defintely watch the biggest-budget movie of India till-date.
