The review has totaly missed the point. It was never meant to be Dr.Zhivago. Let the audience enjoy the swashbukling fantasy for what it is. We are caught up in an era of bad multiplex movies which are paased of as realistic potrayals of society. I would rather be dazzled by the unbelieavable Pirates trilogy anyday..

cant agree more with this. The movie deserves 3 stars. Rediff needs to sack this guy Raja sen or people will stop referring to their reviews.
Is this even a review ???? Someone teach this person to write reviews yes even which criticizes the subject. Here is ostentatious display of satirical words and idioms...
Whoever it is that has written this review should be paralyzed in their cranium, because though this movie is not on par with the first two it is a must watch for all pirate lovers....I sat for almost three hours in the theatre without a sense of time and was awestruck when sparrow's black pearl floats on the desert. There are many more moments like these which together make the movie definitely entertaining. BTW Jack Sparrow is half-Indian.
I had high expectations of this movie but it was not as good as the first two. Keira Knightley's role was difficult and she hashed it..and the storyline was not so strong...still a sea story...good in parts...an ignonimous exit if this is the last.
the movie i would is like quite bad for a fact that the story(there is hardly any) is way too slow and not interesting till almost the real action sequences start... i e after 80% of the movie is done!!!
d movie shud get a better rating dan jus a single star..may b h um ..n y b not better dan POC-1..bt its definitely much much better dan d POC-2.. n Johny Depp as always..saves d day..its sad 2 know v wont b able 2 watch him again..
yes, this movie is overblotted and has a number of flaws ... but can you really ignore that gorgeously mounted, absolutely exhilarating last third where all that long set up finally pays off ? and you give this one star for what ? for the mass of underdeveloped pirates ? ( why of course, character development is JUST what people like about these movies) ..... for underusing johnny depp ?( sparrow was always the supporting character, the storyline, the lack of which you complained of, always concentrated on will and elizabeth's arc, which by the way reaches a hell of a satisfying conclusion here )because you didnt like keira knightley's "pouty anorexic " expression ? ( the "pouty anorexic" expression giver got some of the loudest cheers from the audience) .... how can you possibly justify giving this movie a single star ?
