Once again Potter mania shows Indians are the best fallowers of Westren Culture.,in india we can find much better and worth reading books than potter.,

Yes, u r rt, i dont know how brainless people read and stand in the Q, (people says who went to buy those books, are not worth it seems)
I saw on TV that so many children are exited about Harry Potter and they are desperate to read the book. I thought this is good sign about reading habit of the books among the children which is not looking now a day. Immediately after I saw on another channel asking to children about our old & new famous books/magazines like Panchtantra, Chandamama, Nandan, Parag etc. most of them unaware about these books. This shows that this not reading habit interest. They just follow the thing which is what the western country does. Actually they are true follower of West. They never apply their brain on indigenous thinks. In this context media is also responsible. On daily basis they update the status of HP and make HP as only book in the world that neither written nor be written in the future.

very well written , I fully agree with you ,
simply this trend is following blindly the west , kids are doing so because they are getting inspiration from their parents who are dull n simply encourage their wards to copy the west..
I like to urge everyone here who is complaining about new H.P. book to write a similar book. If you can write a book like that and market it well you can generate same response. Currently there is no such book which can generate that tremendous interest among not only children but also adult. Do not criticize a book just because it creates madness among others; try to think why it does so.

I fully agree . Such a shame to the society that such a foolosh novel thing if marketed properly can be sold , hary potter and his fans are proof of this .

for godness sake harry potter is hyped because it has substance the book has a different style strong vocubalry and holds a moral that is potrayed in manner that surely leaves impact on kids. and another thing the book first recieved mouth publicity and then the media and other marketing business jumped into it when they saw unhindered money

I cont mr.Gunjan mathur, because of this attitude 50 years back we where like that, please understand the logic, (whatever you do it should have some Barter) that was my intention, think behind. You know how much thy paid to NDTV and other TV channels to hype this HP.

mr rahul if you comment on something be really sure about facts. when jrk first wrote harry potter she was financially handicapped she wrote the first book in a coffee shop because her house didn't had the proper heaters. so from where did she arrange for such a huge publicity and even the publishing house bloomsbury had seen its first big release in harry potter. the series held substance that is the reason why it gets so much of unpaid publicity. jrk doesn't go around advising the media to have a programme on the series when and discuss the content.first read the book and then decide whether the world has gone mad or not.but another thing is that i am a die hard fan of harry potter but not crazy enough to stand outside a book store at midnight

how you judge somthing you havent seen or read. if you have read the books and you then say it is rubbish...accepted. but dont have an opionion for the sake of it. if some people like it then wat is ur problem.

I have no complaint against Santosh's English.
But Chandamama is unadulterated crap! The shallow, badly written crap that fills that crappy mag has been dumbing down our young for years. The only contribution it makes to our young is preparing them to enjoy the worst offenses of Bollywood. Reading Chandamama can put a person off from good reading through out his/her life.
The uni-dimensional artwork (?) of the mag is like the illiterate bollywood cut-outs you see around you.
