I just came back from the movie and I can only say one thing. It was AWESOME. Gone are the days of games and fun in HOGWARTZ and it all comes to showdown now. The movie ends in a note that you wish there was something you could do about it and ask why do I have to wait for 1 and 1/2 year for another installment? The kids have matured and Harry now is more sensible. Ofcourse the movie is not for kids anymore and thus you will not see a lot of kids in the movie theatres. The best character though in this movie is DOLORES. She is wicked and new. I don;t want to divulge the details but you will surely feel that she is like the Indian SHASHIKALA of the 70's & 80's and you just wished she would go away. Anyways even if you have not read the book or seen any of the past 4 installments go ahead watch this one. You will have a good time and I just wish Indian directors really put some thought to direction and make some meaningful movies. Atleast they can be watchable instead of wasting all the talent and money.

The magic world to me is simply an amazing setting for a great story. It is the story that succeeds. It is the characters, (their strengths and weaknesses) that succeed.
It is a classic tale of Good over Evil. The story of the fight of the underdogs against the seemingly more evil and powerful Voldemort (like the Pandavas vs. Kauravas)
It is hard not to empathize with young Harry....a lonely, abused orphan...who is forced to confront such terrible adversaries... because of his unique yet tragic past. He has to fulfill his destiny no matter how painful it is.
It is hard not to like Ron, Hermione for their unflinching loyalty to their troubled hero. Wouldn't we all love to have such friends?
It is hard not to appreciate the strength, love and courage of the teachers who have to protect this young man. Doesn't every parent go through these emotions and struggles to protect their kids?
I think it is this underlying universal theme that has made her stories so appealing.
And the magic...hmm ...wouldn't we all love to have some magic in our lives?

neha..not every1 is as fussy brained as you seem to be...just because your vocab is so drastically curtailed doesnt mean that every1 else should be tongue tied like you...
I just saw the 5th HP movie and liked it in parts. The beginning part of the movie was a bit too sketchy.
However, the climax scenes in the Ministry of Magic were the best part of the movie. The scenes where Harry is training the other kids in the Magic spells were also a lot of fun. I also enjoyed some of the creative departures from the book.
But, can someone give Ron Weasley more dialog...the poor guy just stands around watching Hermione talk. He is capable of more.
Can anybody please tell me what's the role of Harry Potter in this movie. Well movie is very nice and it creates magic and makes u laughter and enjoy the Special Effects. Things are well casted but where's the story.......there is no story to be told.....is this movies could run a sngle step ahead the last movie........nope. It fails on stepping the story.....why for things running does not matter in movie.....but i will praise the work of all technical aspects.

The movie was fantastic, and so was the story, as written in the book. It portrayed the torment and troubles of Harry to the best extent possible. Although a lot parts were cut, but no one can expect a 1000 odd pages book to fit in 2 hrs 30 mins. but still, the movie faired well, and is all set for the next installment. Half-blood prince was my best HP book, and seeing it in theaters next year would be a delight. But it would be hard seeing Dumbledore die in that flick.

The main story thread in this movis is about return of Lord Voldemort and his desire to take over the world with his Dark Powers. He starts rebuilding his band of loyal death-eaters. But there is something that he needs to fulfill this dream and only Harry Potter can get it for him. That is why he keeps trying to get to Harry Potter (the attack on him at the beginning, the troubled dreams, etc. The actual object of Voldemort's interest is only revealed to Potter and the audience in the climax.)
Meanwhile, the good magicians (lead by Dumbledore, Sirius Black, Weasley etc)) are aware of Voldemort's intentions and reconvene their secret organization - The Order of the Phoenix - to protect Harry Potter and prepare for Voldemort's attack.
The climax reveals the secret, brings Voldemort into the open and sets the stage for the next book.
The human side of the story also shows the growing pains of the young characters who are now teenagers and have to deal with all the changing emotions that come with it.
this movie has been really a gud one............just like the previous 4..............i enjoyd it..........daniel s lukin really gud............and emma as always is lukin really cute......a must watch............a fun fiction...........!
RE:an awesome movie

the movie is awesome , yes... but dan is not just looking good but fabulous ...emma is wonderfully beautiful. no doubt in that...
I think its unfair comparing the film with the book. These are two different mediums. A book may be doing a lot of things that the film doesn't do, and vice versa. This is not a discussion-board on "Which one's better? Book or Film?". A film critic's job is to review the film. Period. Besides, if you ARE attempting to review both the book and the film, are you qualified?
Its the best Harry Potter movie to date. Simply superb effects. Especially the brromstick ride over London and the fight between DA and death eaters... GO c it...
As the writer says that the movie cud hve been a masterpeice...but accoridng to me it is...those who slept or found it boring were actually not able to grab the movie...the movie is really a gem and i request everyone to see it once...cherrs Potterfans Pottermania is not over yet...
