i am a fan of any good movie be it any language but i dont whats so great about bollywood movies as well all of them are not great to write about. Ur comment shows signs of bias or jealousy ..which one is correct dude?
It could have been better if the organisers have taken care of everybody that contributed for the growth of telugu cinema. Ignoring somebody or not inviting them to the celebrations is not a good act.

Telugu language movies are competing in revenues with those of bollywood... Recently pokiri entered top 10 grossers (keep in mind that the telugu movies release at a max of 500 theatres and bollywood ones releases in more than 1000's.... don released in 1800 theatres)... Still the movies generate revenues because they are not just A grade movies... PLEASE MIND YOUR LANGUAGE... ALL THE SOUTH INDIAN MOVIES ARE GOOD... THERE ARE SO MANY TECHNICAL VALUES... AND REMEMBER, MANI RATNAM (WHOM NOW BOLLYWOOD RECOGNISED IS ALSO FROM SOUTH... EVEN RAM GOPAL VARMA... HIS FIRST MOVIES ARE FROM TELUGU

Yeah all telugu movies are B-grade that is y they are being remade into Hindi and are becoming Big hits. South Indian movies are far more technically superior compared to Hindi films and they have better stories. Most of the Hindu films are the same old run-out of the mill love stories. Please keep you opinions to yourself and dont make such ignorant comments.
What is Telugu Cinema without Singers P. Susheela, S. Janaki, P. Leela and Jikki? I guess, female contributions need not be mentioned. It is a disgrace that none of the actors and Telugu film fratertinty is raising hell when Susheela and Janaki are ignored year after year after year from Padma awards. Simply disgraceful! Shame on those actors who think they deserve these awards over these two great singers. I'm simply baffled that even Rama Naidu and ANR not using their muscle to get the due recognition for these two ladies. They sang over four decades! They sang in more languages than Lata Mangeshkar or Asha Bhosle did! Although we have to live with Hindi bias, what is south cinema collectively doing?
Guys its just a celebration of 75 years, If we can appreciate these Telugu People about celebrating 75yrs lets congratulate them as no other industry has atleast thought of celebrating the event. We are not here to fight against any language. As Mr.Kannadiga said every language is sweet in its own way. Who are we to critisize any specific language. Please dont forget we are one (Indians). I dont understand why people fight for their own language. Hmmmmmmm anyways everyone have their own perception.
If we can then lets say Kudos to Telugu Film Industry for arranging such a grand event, they atleast got a thought to do that.
Didnt the title clearly say 75 yrs of telugu cinema, y ru ppl talking abt kannada and bollywood movies here. If u like telugu cinema then drop a good msg or else carry on with ur lives.
by illusion of me on Jan 30, 2007 12:11 AM hey...dont get into the language fight here...each language is sweet in its own way. both kannaDa and telugu industries are doing good these days. I agree kannaDigAs are a wee bit choosy about their own films and dont encourage their own movies, but things are changing and changing for good. coming to bollywood, stop flicking stories and songs from hollywood/persian/arabic and u will not be doomed. As of now, bollywood is in deep s***. they are no match for south indian film industries creativity and enthusiasm which includes kannada, telugu and tamil industries(not sure abt malayali movies, anyone arnd can please comment)

Sorry to know your ignorance about malayalam movies. They make the REAL quality movies and from them telugu, tamil and hindi movies dubbed. For example-> manichitratazu dubbed in tamil and telugu as chandramukhi , in kannada as Aaptha Mitra and again in hindi as chandramukhi.Iam not against any language, but please don't degrade any language.

Dear Ms Vijayalakshmi Gangadharan It is not dubbed, they were remade...however "illusion of me" didnt want to comment about malayalam movies doesnt mean that he is criticizing or downgrading them. Please read thoroughly...how can you misunderstand so much

it is not a question of misunderstanding....malayalam cinemas contribution to indian cinema is well known. the amount of national awards it has garnered over the past decades is no mean achievement(certainly a very healthy percentage when compared to other film industries)....so it is just a bit puzzling that you should not be aware about malayalam industry at all....otherwise i am sure you did not mean anything wrong.....
Telegu movies are all b grade movie , compared to bollywood movies. They all have the old story line. it is made for supid telegu people and they enjoy that very much

OK ... They certainly are made for stupid people. And the same were being remade in Hindi (the bad copymasters of both Hollywood and Tollywood movies) for even more stupid people to see them. There is a proverb in my Telugu language (termed as the Italian of the East) that says "Naram Laeni Naaluka" (a tongue that doesnt have any bones in it - so it twists easily and talks any filthy about any thing) - in this particular case it Mr. Spooky Butcher's tongue that could not appreciate his fellow citizens' laurels. Welldone spooky.

thats very mean.. In fact bollywood movies are pretty crap. well then they (majority of them )are mainly targeted for the illiterate masses.. hindi is the mother tongue of almost 30% indians and more than 50% of its illiterates.. grow up my friend
